BCS:BraveCaringSoul Posted March 2, 2002 Share Posted March 2, 2002 I only found this place about a month ago so I have no idea what goes on during the regular season.<br /><br />Just wondering if there's alot of trash talk on the Saturday night before the big game of the week. Maybe some fans/trolls come in to start a flame war. Perhaps it's a civilized crowd with clear, concise discusions of the next day's expected game plan.<br /><br />Just curious. The posts come fast and furious before and after the games. Seemed like there was a lot of trash talk from division rivals, but not others. This is pretty much a smack-free zone, except for those neanderthals from Philly who drag in here with their knuckles scraping the ground. When they're here, it's our feeding frenzy, not theirs. <img border="0" title="" alt="[smile]" src="smile.gif" /> <br /><br />There is, as well, mucho teeth gnashing on the part of the locals. That can get ugly.<br /><br />Also, our man Om runs a very popular "Who Da Man?" competition, that runs throughout the season, with competitors accumulating points along the way for closest predictor of points, point differential and of course, W's and L's.<br /><br />I had to drop out last year on account of jinxing the team. I kept predicting blowout Redskin wins, but after that 0-5 start, Marty called and nicely asked if I would bow out. Of course, I said yes, and we promptly started reeling off wins.<br /><br />I'm not sure what I'm going to do this year, what with the new administration and all. Burgold Posted March 3, 2002 Share Posted March 3, 2002 Pretty balanced. A lot of posting and exchange of knowledge, but usually a fair ammount of chest thumping by visitors. I remember a rumor going around that it was good luck when flamers came. The more arrogant the fans, the more likely we would win. Philly, Denver, and Chicago had some good flamers as I recall last year. For some reason, we have a pretty good ongoing representation with Bucs fans.
