Yes, it's spring time... :)

WestJet announced on April 1 that they’ve eased the restrictions on bringing your pet, furry (or scaly) friend along. No longer are pets required to be kept inside kennels while on board, they’re now allowed to freely roam the cabin, as long as they fit. Their video show's proof of concept, as the animals take advantage of their new freedom.

YouTube announces it will be shutting down at midnight on April 1 2013. This shutdown is to allow its employees to begin sifting through all the videos that had been uploaded to the site since it launched in 2005, in a quest to find the greatest video of all time. It said the site will relaunch in 2023 to announce the winner. See video announcement

Twitter announces new financial model....vowel-free Twitter, or “Twttr”. Users will now be required to pay five dollars a month for the luxury of the vowel. In a release posted on their blog, Twitter attributed the idea to the common practice of buying a vowel on the game show “Wheel of Fortune”.
