grego
Until you actually see the OFFICIAL measurements at Indy, you cant say another man is closer to 6'0" off of the eyeball test. Fwiw, Rodgers was listed at 6'2" at Cal and measured in at 6'1.5" at the combine. Game isn't played in socks either... The actual height isn't what matters, its the height in relation to the offensive/defensive line. Considering they aren't in socks either the added height from cleats is negated. i was gonna say, defensive players wear cleats too, no?
Malcomb Kelly's Knees
dude will not cut it in the NFL but at least if he bust as a QB he can convert back to WR. dude was like a faster version of wes welker that could line up in the slot or outside. Slateman
I actually think Jones should be ranked higher than Barkley. But other than that, I like the list. With the exception of Barkley, I can't wait to see these guys in bowl games. That'll be the true measuring stick.:helmet: Barkley won't be playing in. Bowl game any time soon. jflow78
I just saw the "height" discussion and, being the numbers freak that I am, got the starting NFL QB's height and weight to see how they compare with the guys coming out, and to see if it makes much difference in the NFL: QB size: NFC Dallas - Tony Romo sits to pee - 6'2" 228 Giants - *Eli Manning - 6'4" 218 Eagles - Mike Vick - 6'0" 215 Skins - *Rex Grossman - 6'1" 225 Arizona - Kevin Kolb - 6'3" 218 49ers - Alex Smith - 6'4" 217 Seattle - Tarvaris Jackson - 6'2" 225 Rams - Sam Bradford - 6'4" 224 Bears - Jay Cutler - 6'3" 220 Lions - Matt Stafford - 6'2" 232 Packers - *Aaron Rodgers - 6'2" 225 Vikings - *McNabb - 6'2" 240, Ponder - 6'2" 229 Falcons - Matt Ryan - 6'4" 217 Panthers - Cam Newton - 6'5" 248 Saints - *Drew Brees - 6'0" 209 Bucs - Freeman - 6'6" 248 AFC Titans - *Matt Hasselbeck - 6'4" 225 Jags - Blaine Gabbert - 6'4" 233 Colts - *Peyton Manning - 6'5" 230 Texans - Matt Schaub - 6'5" 241 Steelers - *Ben Roethlisberger - 6'5" 241 Browns - Colt McCoy - 6'1" 215 Bengals - Andy Dalton - 6'2" 220 Ravens - Joe Flacco - 6'6" 245 Chargers - Philip Rivers - 6'5" 228 Raiders - Campbell - 6'5" 230, Palmer - 6'5" 236 Chiefs - Matt Cassel - 6'4" 230 Broncos - Kyle Orton - 6'4" 225, Tebow 6'3" 236 Jets - Mark Sanchez - 6'2" 225 Pats - *Tom Brady - 6'4" 225 Miami - Henne - 6'3" 230, Moore - 6'3" 203 Bills - Ryan Fitzpatrick - 6'2" 225 NCAA Baylor - Robert Griffin III - 6'2" 220 USC - Matt Barkley - 6'2" 220 Stanford - Andrew Luck - 6'4" 235 Texas A&M - Ryan Tannenhill - 6'4" 222 Oklahoma - Landry Jones - 6'4" 229 Oklahoma St. - Brandon Weeden - 6'4" 218 Houston - Case Keenum - 6'2" 210 Boise St. - Kellen Moore - 6'1" 191 It's interesting, and I'm sure someone will have a random formula proving that height adds 13.7% to your NFL QB rating (or something along those lines), but I don't see much of a correlation either way. I think if the guy has enough talent, he's going to be good, at 6'2" or 6'4". (I did put a * by the QBs who've been to a SB as a starter and it seems the 6'4"+ crowd has won more than the 6'2"- crowd, but when having 2 QBs, from this list, face each other in the SB, more often than not, the one who weighs less wins So tall and skinny is the way to go, then you can get to AND win the SB nearly every year and against any other starter. We're essentially looking for a 6'7" 202 pound QB ) Anyway, I thought the numbers were fun to look at.

jflow78
Best qb in the league is the same size as griffin....My top QB prospects: 1. Luck 2. Barkley 3. RG3 4. Jones 5. Tannehill That's kind of what mine looks like, though I need to watch more of Barkley & some of the other QBs. I'd say right now, IMO, it's: 1. Luck 2. Barkley, Griffin 3. Everyone else ---------- Post added November-25th-2011 at 08:03 PM ---------- ...His post specifically said "with the exception of Barkley". .....except for Barkley......
