Are the injuries worth it if it forces team to see what it has in youth?

Injuries are inevitable. So many so quick is disheartening. But at least we have young hungry players in Paul,Austin,Hankerson, and Helu ready to replace them. Not counting out Armstong, young in experience but not necessarily in age. Its up to this group to step up and prove that they do indeed have what it takes. But it all depends on Shannahan, he's the wild card. Is he more comfortable with Gaffney and Torrain or will he let the young potential talent get on the field? I think ive seen enough of Gaffney to damn near right him off. Would much prefer seeing all the younger players get the majority of the reps. Find out if they "fit" this year and ready to take the step for next year or if they're busts.

Coaches will tell you...

some players are practice players and they look great in practice, but in a real game they suddenly can't do it..

some players are game players.. they don't practice well and struggle to see the field but once they are out there, they excel.

looks like its time to find out who are our practice players and who are our game players.

At least losing might become exciting in a way. There was nothing fun about seeing Moss & Cooley and the regulars go out and lose, but with all the young blood out there trying to make plays, at least it will be exciting to see what they can do and Wins/Losses won't be the only concern.
