Dallsux
The refs are getting flag happy. Someone needs to do something about that. Nothing's going to be done about it. They are going to do everything they can to avoid injuries, even though they'll never be able to avoid them completely, unless they start prohibiting hitting altogether...and running....and jumping....and throwing...and catching... ---------- Post added September-4th-2011 at 03:43 AM ---------- Just be thankful it's not soccer and players aren't faking getting hit to draw flags, that would enrage me. I'm sure they'll review film and discuss it with the refs. I don't see this as being a prevalent issue. Sure, it happens, but it's rare. Actually, if I remember correctly, the whole reason that TOs are spent inside 2 minutes of each half is because players were faking injuries in order to buy some time during 2-minute drills. I don't know about faked injuries today, but I don't think it's as rare as you might think.
Skinsfan1311
Is it just me, or does it seem like a lot more helmets are flying off of players heads? I think that I've seen more helmets come off in this preseason, than all of the regular season last year. It makes make me wonder if they have newly designed helmets or straps. brdawk20
Looking at the video, at game speed, it looks likes a helmut to helmut hit. I can see why, right or wrong, the flag was thrown.
