HENNING, TN (WMC-TV) - Two people were killed this morning in a shooting at the post office in Henning, Tennessee.

Sources with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department said two female employees were killed in an incident that was reported around 9:00 a.m. Monday.

The circumstances that led to the shooting are unclear, and information about a possible suspect is not yet available.

Henning is located approximately 50 miles northeast of Memphis.

In one of the greatest ironies ever, in a 1993 episode of Cheers, the gang at the bar suspected Cliff Clavin (the mailman) of killing his mother. It aired the same day a postal worked murdered his mother and went to work and shot two women.
