I'm sorry, but you have the Chiefs as the best team in the league. I stopped reading right there. That's just silly. LOL

It doesn't make it much better, but they're the only undefeated team in the league right now. So I can see why any "Power Rankings" that are based off of a mathematical formula rather than opinion would be "fooled" by that. Just sayin'.

With something like this, small sample sizes never show great results. Halfway through the season, his formula might look much better.

Kansas City's previous opponents are a collective 3-9. That is a 25% wining percentage. Although their previous competition has not been good, they beat the teams they should have. I have said it a few times but the first couple weeks mean absolutely nothing. By week 3 or 4 there starts to be elite teams (undefeated), bad teams (winless), and a bunch of middling teams. In week 3 and 4, the Kansas City Chiefs were the worste rated undefeated team. If my opinion mattered in this ranking, Kansas City would not be #1. But if we were to start the playoffs right now, who do you think would have the #1 seed in the playoffs over Kansas City? Someone has to take that away from the Chiefs. Oddly enough, if the Chiefs and Steelers won next week (I know the Steelers cannot because they have a bye), due to the toughness of their schedules, the Steelers would move into the #1 spot even though the Chiefs are undefeated. The Chiefs have had easiest schedule numerically and took advantage of it. In a season of extreme parity, the Chiefs are the only undefeated team.

Aizona? They have the same record as the Skins and a much, much easier remaining schedule. They have Seattle (twice), Tampa, Minnesota (1-3), San Franciso (Twice), St. Louis and Carolina left to play. Even though I feel the 'Skins are a better team than Arizona, looking at the remaining schedule for both teams, they both have a decent chance to finish at 8-8. Ironically enough, they are ranked 13th and 14th.

This ranking system isn't a who will beat who type of ranking system but more of a who has the best chance to make the playoffs and get the opportunity to make some noise.
