Not with the same consequences.

You don't pay your taxes as a citizen and the IRS will get you. If you can't pay them you'll go to jail.

Both citizens and illegal aliens go to jail for tax fraud: http://www.wmbfnews.com/global/story.asp?s=12241705
You have a DUI in California and your car is impounded. If you're not a citizen you can get it back right away.
A DUI conviction for an immigrant can result in deportation: http://www.californiadui.com/articles/immigration-issues-of-dui.php
You commit ID theft as a citizen and you're going to jail. If you're here illegally it will most likely be ignored. As an American citizen try not showing a police officer your ID when you get pulled over/arrested and see what happens.
Illegal immigrants are arrested for identity theft: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/02/us/02greeley.html

After a conviction, they are deported: http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-12-23-406982739_x.htm

The consequences are completely different.
You are right. Citizens who commit crimes are put in jail and can stay in the United States. Immigrants who commit crimes are put in jail and are then deported.

If being an illegal immigrant were so great, then why are they protesting for amnesty? :whoknows:
