hockeysc23
So I got a Logitech Remote the 880 I believe is the number. Amazing remote and I love having 1 button/activity control everything. I read that the logitech can learn IR frequencies and my brother found light switches that work with the remote so 1 button for DVD could dim the lights etc. What I am wondering though is does anyone make IR surge protectors. I.e. a surge protector with a IR remote. What I would like to do is put my PS3 and some accent lighting around my entertainment center on one of these surge protectors. This way I can keep it off 90% of the time when not needed and then press 1 button like watch DVD that would turn on PS3, and the accent lighting. Any thoughts or suggestions? DCBnG21
You want to get a current sensing strip. It will detect when the most important item (say your surround sound receiver) is turned on and will turn on power for the rest of the outlets. PokerPacker
my brother's got an IR sensor that plugs into an outlet, and then you plug a device into that. I'm sure you could get one of those and then plug a surge protector into that.
