Burgold
The point is, Longshot that acting in panic is not beneficial. And the Redskins seemingly acted to rashly, too often. This has not been beneficial... we can look at our records and how much turnover we have to recognize this. It is possible that when an injury occurs that a replacement must be found... I also remember a season in which we kept losing safeties and yet the decision was not to promote a back up, but sign guys off the street and start them after half a week of practice. That's not good. It either means that the guys on your roster shouldn't have been on the team in the first place or it means that you are spazzing out. If this quote means a more temperate approach to filling and fixing needs and developing a roster that can overcome a sudden injury or two I'm all for it. I'm also for making do sometimes rather than selling the farm for a quick fix.
texasthunder
"will be there when the money is more to their liking." What, no overpaying for players with a short playing time left ????? Geez, thats not the Redskin way. :evilg:
