Bradford/LT discussion on ESPN- help

"Many draft pundits -- including both Mel Kiper, Jr. and Todd McShay -- have the Washington Redskins taking Oklahoma product Sam Bradford with their first overall pick. The thinking is that being able to mold a young franchise QB is too big of a temptation for Mike Shanahan.

But there's always another option, and Jason Reid of the Washington Post notes that it's also logical for the team to address the left tackle position with the No. 4 overall pick, given the chance that Chris Samuels calls it quits soon. If the Skins do elect to go that direction, they might have their pick of the litter, given that the two DTs (Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy) might go 1-2, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are strongly considering Eric Berry at No. 3.

Mel Kiper, Jr.

Russell Okung is No. 8 on the Big Board

"Athletic, strong and fiery blindside pass-protector."

Also, here's the Scout's Inc. needs list:

Washington Redskins

Top needs:

1. OT: LT Chris Samuels will likely retire and RT Stephon Heyer is inconsistent at both OT spots -- but he is not terrible. He is a restricted free agent and will likely be tendered and given one more year to improve. Levi Jones is an unrestricted free agent and not the answer at LT.

2. QB: What does the new coaching staff do with Jason Campbell? His contract could be up, but is he a guy you give one more shot to? He has good physical skills, but his supporting cast and coaching continuity has always been suspect. It's a big decision for this franchise and new coach Mike Shanahan.

3. RB: Shanahan knows Clinton Portis well, but that doesn't guarantee anything. He looks like an "old" 29-year-old back with durability issues and a questionable work ethic. Backup LaDell Betts is 30 and is coming off knee surgery -- this is not a real stable position right now.

Other needs: OG, C, CB, S

Thanks for the post ohioskinsfan.

The statement above from Scout's Inc is enough to throw their evaluations on the dung heap.
