Players from the 2008 and 2009 teams told the Detroit Free Press for a story published on the newspaper’s Web site on Saturday that the amount of time they spend on football activities during the season and in the offseason greatly exceeds the limits. I hate it when coaches do this, because 9 times out of 10 they get fired and the school has to deal with the tournament suspension as the coach takes a year off and pics up another gig making a little less than he did before. Personally, I think that if a coach gets caught doing this then he ought to be suspended by the NCAA for the same amount of time that the team gets.
