MKnight82
I was just listening to an interesting conversation on the Greg Burton Hardly Working show here in Richmond. They brought up an interesting point about the Vick signing. Since he was signed as a QB and given a single digit number, in order for Vick to come in for a wild-cat formation he will have to be listed as the #2 QB and not the #3. This is due to the emergency quarterback rule I'm sure most of us are familiar with. However, if the eagles had signed him as a WR and given him a different number he could have been put in and out of the game at any time while keeping either Kolb or Feely as the primary back-up. Just thought this was an interesting conversation topic.
Enter Apotheosis
I don't think it matters as I believe the third quarterback rule only comes into effect if you're only carrying two QBs on your active, gameday 45-man roster. If you have three QBs on the active roster you can pretty much do whatever you want with them.
Malcomb Kelly
If you have three QBs on the active roster you can pretty much do whatever you want with them. that's true. I'm pretty sure they're betting on Vick being the #2 anyway. the rule makes it so that if they bring in #3 they can't put vick or mcnabb back in. GhostofSparta
Vick would be a horrible WR. And what's to stop Philly from making him the #2 QB once his suspension is up anyway?
BigMike21
He will be QB of the team going into training camp next season...Book it I highly doubt that. THey just extended McNabb's contract this year.
