Really, it depends on the team. You have to assume New England, Pittsburgh and the Giants, for example, will be picking in the 20s. So it doesn't make much sense to do that.

I think we could get more than just a 1st and 2d in 2010. I think we could trade to the bottom of the 1st this year and pick up a 1st next year. Or trade into the 2d and Pick up a first and 2d (or 3rd) next year.

Yup, if anyone wanted to look at the value chart they would realize you are right.

Next years picks are roughly worth this years pick minus a round... so next year's first is worth this years second. next years second is worth this years 3rd.

so... would you trade your 1st round pick from this year for a 2nd round and a 3rd round pick from this year? because thats what this trade would suggest...
