Brad_Edwards_Fan
Everything i read on this seems to be propaganda from one side or another...so in regards to this idea what are the union folks trying to correct? I understand that they want to change it so that employees sign an authorization card to "vote" for unionization and that it currently is done with a secret ballot. What i dont understand is why they (the unions) dont want it to be secret ballot, what problems do they see with a secret ballot? I can see the negatives to the authorization card, as it could lead to intimidation, retribution, strong arming, etc., but i dont understand the negatives to the secret ballot as it exists today. I am admittedly ignorant to most things regarding unions.

GibbsFactor
Simply put, Unions have too much power. They need to get put in their place a bit. The things they fight for and strike about don't amount to the reason they exist in the first place.
