He entered with the team down a run and picked off a runner for out number 3. The team took the lead in the next 1/2 inning and he was pulled for closer Jorge Julio, who got the save. codeorama Posted May 2, 2003 Share Posted May 2, 2003 That's freakin amazing... My brother played with Jim Abbott in the minors when he was making his comeback with the white sox... The last game he pitched before getting called up, he made some of the most amazing defensive plays I have seen by a pitcher, let alone a one handed pitcher. He was a really cool guy too.
