Oldfan
Rivers has the best QB rating in the league. Want to know what is wrong with San Diego? 28th ranked defense. Right. Despite injuries to key people, Norv's offense is averaging 28 points per game. The defense is the problem and it can't all be attributed to the loss of Merriman. If their new DC can improve the D significantly, this is still the team to beat in the AFC.
SkinsOrlando
Chargers remaining schedule: currently 3-5KC - win @ Pitt - loss Colts - loss Falcons - loss Raiders - win @KC - win @TB - loss Denver - win 7-9 seems very likely for them Denver remaining schedule: currently 4-4 @ Browns - win Falcons - loss Raiders - win @Jets - loss Chiefs - win @ Carolina - loss Bills - loss @ Chargers - loss 7 - 9 Bronco's won - now 5-4 Charger's won - now 4-5 We'll see how it goes this week and if they can stay on pace for a sup .500 division winner. Seabee1973
But you get my point, right? Just shows that one crappy 7-9 team from the AFC can get a home playoff game (a very big advantage in the NFL playoffs) and a shot at the Super Bowl, where the good 10-6 team from the NFC goes home with no shot at the Super Bowl. if it was in the NFC i could see your point but the AFC has no bearing on the NFC playoff picture unless that 7-9 team beats the other team

SkinsOrlando
Bronco's won - now 5-4Charger's won - now 4-5 We'll see how it goes this week and if they can stay on pace for a sup .500 division winner. Alright Denver pulled out the win making it real tough for my 7-9 division winner to be possible, but anything can happen. The Chargers did keep pace. Denver 6-4 Chargers 4-

SkinsOrlando
Alright Denver pulled out the win making it real tough for my 7-9 division winner to be possible, but anything can happen. The Chargers did keep pace.Denver 6-4 Chargers 4-6 Denver lost yesterday along with San Diego Denver 6-5 Chargers 4-7 Now lets look at the remaining schedule. Denver @ Jets - loss Chiefs - win @ Panthers - loss Bills - loss @ Chargers - loss With Denver's stinking up the joint yesterday it's possible to see them at 7-9 still San Deigo Falcons - loss Raiders - win @ Chiefs - win @ Bucs - loss Broncos - win That would put them at 7-9 It appears seeing a 7-9 division winner is still very much possible for this putrid division.
