IbleedBnG83
Everyone looked good except Tryon...bum. Goode looked good. Too bad we have Yoder. I don't want to lose that kid when placed on the practice squad.
redman
Anyone who watched a lot of USC games could have told you that Fred Davis is the real deal. He was by far the best receiving threat last year on a big time college team filled blue chip (albeit mostly young) WR prospects. He's just a very smooth route-runner and receiver. If his blocking can get up to NFL par, he'll be a huge asset for us, and will free up Zorn to do a lot of creative disguising of schemes, or creating of mismatches, e.g. lining Cooley up in the slot the way you saw Indy do last night with Dallas Clark. He's a big pickup for us.
Abshir
- I may stand alone on this, but I'm still not sold on Reed Doughty as our starter. I really hope he proves me VERY wrong. I thought he was beat for several plays... he wasn't as crisp with his decision making.
ADF
As a football player, you have to make plays when the opportunity presents itself. That's what impressed me most about Horton. When they tried the onside kick, (Sinclair?) whiffed and Horton jumped right on it. When he got his hands on the QB, he brought him down. Those kinds of plays are the difference between winning and losing a ball game.
