Colt Brennan Shows MAJOR Improvement (Highlights Included)

Folks, you all need to remember who coached and developed Colt while he was at Hawaii. It was June Jones.

Both June Jones and Jim Zorn are former NFL QBs and have served as QB coaches on a few teams before stepping up to be head coach. They both see something in Colt Brennan...maybe intangibles...but more so, potential to be an NFL QB. Over the last two years, June Jones repeatedly referred to Colt as the real deal. Also, Jerry Glanville and Mouse Davis made similar positive observations about Colt's abilities to deliver the ball where it needs to be in order for the receiver to make the catch. Another UH coach said Colt possesses skills and instincts that can't be taught to a QB...more intangibles.

I'm not in the camp that projects Colt to be ready this year to challenge TC for #2. As a Redskins fan who is totally elated that Colt is in Auburn, I just want Colt to make the team as #3 and continue to develop, learn, and improve his game.

Go Redskins!!!

He looked pretty good. I'm still not a believer, but he looked pretty good (against those 3rd stringers).

But how did you like that future bagger Mann who caught that TD ? Oh, and that OL that was blocking for him. The throws that he made were only for his guys and knowbody from the Colts could of made a play regardless if it was Mann or Moss who had caught it. Another thing is that while he is at a disadvantage with his throwing motion due to the increased chances of batted balls (0 Batted in game 1) the DB's are also at a disadvantage. Because Colt throws sort of side armed the the DB's when watching him throw cannot tell which way the ball is going to go on his release unlike over the top passers you just look to see were the nose of the ball is pointing. Colt in order to throw right releases the ball early in his throwing motion and to throw left it would be later in that motion. If you watch the throw he made to Goode in the middle of the field the reason that ball was not intercepted was the safty got a late jump on the ball. When Colt threw the ball it came from his far right and the ball was completed way left of his body. To a DB it looked like it was coming right at him but the ball just kept moving away sort of like a curveball. He did the same thing on that TD to Mason.
