Had you caught that ball that HIT YOU IN THE HANDS, Eli would be looked at as just as big of a choker as Romo sits to pee, or at least close. But no, you dropped it, then Tyree caught the next one, then Ellis ****ing Hobbs fell down in one-on-one with Plax and that was all she wrote. Samuel also got WHIFFED on that slant route TD that Tyree caught. Sure-he may have made the biggest catch in NFL history later on, but the guy is ONLY a SLOT receiver(at best). How can a multiple Pro Bowl CB let some slot guy have his way on him? And for that matter too-Peter King reported that on Tyree's improbable catch, he was actually SAMUEL's responsibility(Not Harrison's, who had him at the time). Watch the replay again-Samuel looked like he may have given up, or was beaten on the play. barens2 Posted June 26, 2008 Share Posted June 26, 2008 Samuel also got a gift in the 2nd quarter when Steve Smith dropped a ball that went right into Samuels hands as the Giants were driving in Patriots territory. If Romo sits to pee or Campbell drove the ball 80 yards in the last 2 minutes of the Super Bowl needing a TD, then they would deserve major props.
