Thanks Dark Horse. I like the "no fanfare" approach this year as opposed to the last two that had so much hype. Instead the hype is where we need it, at the coache's doorstep, because he can handle it and let's the players focus more on what they need to do.

The question is...How much fanfare can the enigmatic SS even handle? Remember, he still has a lot to learn to, besides doing normal coaching duties.

Of couse he can handle the hubbub. There's already been a heck of a lot of it, more than most coaches face throughout the season. He's handled it quite gracefully.

I guess he is trying to say have faith in management when it comes to not signing the big names up to this point and that we have a rich tradition that will soon be recognized leaguewide under Danny and S Double

look, the Redskins are open to praise and criticism just like any other sports teams we follow.<br /><br />if the University of Maryland shoots 38% from the field and loses a game they hear about it. Likewise, if they fail to land a potential top recruit and end up with second tier talent.<br /><br />The Skins deserve credit for getting Armstead and Jacquez Green at what I think are bargain prices given both are NFL performers who have started.<br /><br />Moore was another good signing based on his versatility and work ethic.<br /><br />Anthony was no risk at all based on his minimum deal and the fact the team has covered itself by having some depth at the position already.<br /><br />Where the anxiety comes in is at quarterback, at least for me.<br /><br />We don't have a player on the roster that has played a full 16 game season as a starter in the NFL. And none of the players that are here were blue chip prospects to begin with. Wuerffel has kicked around since being somewhat of a reach pick in the fourth round. Many have said the same about Rosenfels. Craig couldn't crack the lineup in Carolina on a 2-14 team despite the club having to go with 29 year old rookie Chris Weinke as the starter.<br /><br />So, there IS legitimate cause for concern despite the presence of Spurrier and his offensive staff.<br /><br />Now one move can erase a lot of that concern. <img border="0" title="" alt="[smile]" src="smile.gif" /> <br /><br />The question then becomes do the Redskins have ANY money to lure a free agent quarterback now or after June 1?<br /><br />And if they do is Spurrier willing to spend the money to do that, or is he going to take a quarterback at #2 or #4 and say that is the future and we will get by with Wuerffel or Matthews for one year?
