Niners=GOT to get a QB...Will 1 of the QB's slip like Brady Quinn did?

Packers=Will be looking to build that O-line for Favre or Rodgers

Jags=Williams will want to make a move to grab a good D-back....since that apparently is the most important thing for him!

Chargers=Playmakin' WR to make offense much more dangerous...

I don't know the ruling on this,so could someone clear this up for me....?

EXAMPLE:

Lets say that the Redskins found a trading partner within the week or sometime soon....

Lets say Jacksonville (pick #28) decided they wanted to move up because there are 3 or 4 candidates they want,that they didn't believe would last to the 28th pick?

Of course they throw in picks to the Redskins for the move....Say a 2nd 08' and a 4th in 09'...(hypothetically people!)

So here we are with that #28th pick with still well over a month 1/2 to go...

All of a sudden...Deangelo Hall or some other star player is being dangled for a trade...But it will cost that teams 1st round pick to get him....!

Can we make the trade?

Or can we not because it was not our original draft pick?

If someone can clear that up for me,I would appreciate that?

If this is something we could do,then why not try a move like this if the possibility presented itself...?

Our pick is worth 800 points with this value chart...

Lets say the Jags did make a deal with us way before the draft day...28th pick is 660 pts...

That would be worth a 3rd round pick as far as value is concerned...So even if that was all we got from the deal,it would be very tough to even pass that up!

We would move down7 spots and pickup an extra 3rd rounder...Guys...we got Cooley in the 3rd round!

So if a team like the jags or whoever wanted to move up for our 21st pick and give aus a 2nd for the swap of 1st rounders....We would have to jump on it! :notworthy

The Niners drafted Smith #1 overall 3 years ago. While he isn't great, I hardly think their ready to give up on him yet.

One thing about this year, our #21 pick in the second actually has value as the #20 pick because of NE's forfiture. They still have a real nice first rounder, but they got that one from SF. All our later picks move up one slot in value.

Now we may have to throw in a late rounder or maybe not... :notworthy

But instead of not picking till the 51st pick(our normal pick) by just giving them the 21st pick for hall,this way they get our 1st rounder like they want and our original 2nd rounder 51(so they don't lose that either) and we move up from 51 to 37...

Makes our pick a very high 2nd rounder to pick up a 1st round stud that drops...instead of just watching all the studs get snatched up all the way to the 51st pick....

so we pick at 37 and get Hall and they get what they want as well...

I understand what you are saying but this is highly doubtful. I dont see the falcons getting this complicated and getting rid of one of their youngest pro bowl players to switch 2nd round picks with them. I dont see them wanting betts , but if we could get d-hall for a 2nd and betts I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat.

But I dont think the falcons would jump at your offer just being that other teams are willing to offer straight up 1st round picks for him.
