method man Posted December 19, 2007 Share Posted December 19, 2007 I was just think that if we get this guy to play guard full time that would probably save us another draft pick. I say give him a shot in the offseason, I like the way the coaches sneek him into the game. If we can make something out of Alexander and Heyer we can start getting some young guys in the O-line. Yup. We have way too many needs. Furthermore, it's only fair that the coaches put him in a position where he can maximize his potential. He can best maximize his potential by staying at one spot and learning that spot. Sure, he can play the utility guy role next year too but he needs to start taking many more reps at guard and, possibly, center so that he can also be Rabach's backup and he can be placed in a position to start at guard in 2009.
