Jason Campbell Cried After the Game

We had 4 fumbles in the first 18 minutes and 4 dropped passes in the first half, and the fumble happened when he was hit from the blind side in the act of throwing. That's a protection problem. It's not all Campbell's fault that we had to comeback.

Seriously though, I'm not saying he's a great QB. All I'm saying is it's a little early to say he can't hack it.

His QB rating today was 68.5

If this is good enough for everyone then so be it.

Don't forget the Steelers were also a winning team before Banks took the starting job. They were 11-5 the year before he got there.

I thought Banks came in the league with the Rams around the same time that Bettis did.

Look I like Campbell but some of the love on this board for him is just insane but on this board guys do squat and there a love fest for them so I'm used to it.

Campbell does have his good momenets but right now compare him to Derek Anderson who by theway did not have all of training camp to prepare for the season. Now Derek Anderson I believe does have better recieving options than Campbell but Anderson has won games for them with arm. He makes decisions faster, and is a much better clutch QB this year.

There is also more blame torwards the offensive line then Jason Campbells throwing motion taking too long IMO, but that is a big part of it. It has nothing to do with him not securing the ball, as if you watch 75 percent of his fumbles are in his wind up to throw the ball.

I would say that'd be true for alot of QB's in the league - that they fumble in the wind up more than anything else.

Winding up puts the ball out there for a quick instant so that the QB can throw it, every QB does it and a smart DE knows that. So one quick hand motion and that ball is as good as gone.

Not to say Campbell shouldn't be working on it, but hopefully this is something that will come in time...
