Romo sits to pee throws better on the move than he does in the pocket. I see us playing more of the lay back and keep everything in front of us approach we did with Detroit and GB. Hopefully our front four will keep him contained and let him make a mistake.

The front four alone will do nothing to him, he moves around too much. He will avoid them all day. We must blitz him from all angles.

This is it right here. Owens does not like to play against Taylor. And Owens doesn't play well against us because of that. Not having Taylor, for this game in particular, is a killer. Plain and simple.

And let's not forget we blitzed a lot last year, but blitzes are only a good idea if they work some of the time. With our secondary banged up, if you see us blitz, and you see that blitz picked up, expect to see a big play for Dallas.

That's true, but Laron is the same kind of player in terms of hitting so Owens won't like Laron either!

With taylor out, we're just going to play more conservative then usual. It's going to be a debacle on sunday

This could very well be true - and it would be terrible and cost us the game. We need to let JC go out there and either win us or lose us the game. We need to live or die by Jason Campbell!

Also, we're not going to want Romo sits to pee to have all day to throw against our decimated secondary because he WILL pick us apart. We're going to have to bring pressure in order to force Romo sits to pee into a mistake.

You talk like Romo sits to pee is a peyton manning or carson palmer. he's not. he's not a great pocket passer. look at the buffalo game where they faked the blitz, and then dropped back into coverage. Romo sits to pee had like 5 INTs in that game. tony Romo sits to pee is a brett farve-type QB who loves to scramble out of the pocket and make things happen. he will just toss the ball where the blitz came from, and i guarantee jason witten will be there all day. our secondary is not decimated, fred smoot is a good CB and david macklin is a decent nickel CB. sean taylor is a big loss, yes. but just because he's gone doesnt mean tony Romo sits to pee will dominate our secondary. we need to confuse Romo sits to pee.

I'd argue he's having a better season than both of those QBs THIS season.

Romo sits to pee has a better QB rating (3rd in NFL), better complition % (10th in NFL), more yards (3rd in NFL), more yards per game (3rd in NFL), better average (2nd in NFL), more TDs (2nd in NFL), more 20+ completions (1st in NFL), and more 40+ completions (tied 4th in NFL).

He's a better QB THIS YEAR than Manning and Palmer. Brady is better and maybe arguably Favre. It pains me to say this, it really does, but you have to give The Homo props. I just hope our D kills him anyways.

Like your optimism, but this is an unmitigated disaster. Based on what GW did last year when our secondary was beat up, he might get more conservative. Remember how wide open the Jets receivers were getting when we blitzed? Imagine if that was TO that wide open, and there was no Taylor to make him pay for his catches? Could be a long day

To many posters in this thread, there is no use in sitting around and thinking that nothing can be done to compensate for the loss of Taylor. And the defense sure as hell shouldn't be thinking like that either. It's obvious that the defense won't be the same AT ALL with Taylor gone, but GW and the defense still need to focus on the aspects that will make them stronger, instead of dwelling on what will make them weaker.

As the OP said, we have to blitz. Seriously GW, ****ing blitz. If you don't blitz, your defense will look like **** like it did against NE, and we will once again question your credibility. Even if Taylor was in and GW decided not to blitz, their offense would pick us apart. Now, with Taylor out, it'll be like they're running their offense with no defenders. BLITZ, IT'S THE ONLY WAY.
