gridironmike Posted January 9, 2003 Share Posted January 9, 2003 I know there has been alot of discussion over Art Monk and the Hall of Fame recently, and I think Monk should be in.:notworthy All of this begs another question. With a franchise steeped in tradition and history, why don't we have a true Redskins Hall of Fame? Some will say the FedEx Field Ring of Honor is, but I beg to differ. That is not enough. The "Hall of Fame" Store at FedEx is more of a store now that Snyder's marketing arm has taken over. The first few years of "The Big Jack" had displays with Butz's helmet, Riggos cleats, a marching band headdress, a history of the helmets display, and etc. There is a display of "HOF" players on one of the walls, but it was covered with car flags for the Dallas game (what a disgrace to these Hall of Famers!). Green Bay has thier own Hall. I have never seen the Packers Hall of Fame, but hope to do so someday. I've heard it is comparable to the Pro Hall in Canton. What are your thoughts on this oversight?
