The football Gods may have fired Marty....

With Banks getting hurt and with Graham coming in and leading the team to a win, it probably made Snyder even more pis$ed that Graham wasn't named the starter after the Denver game.

It won't be the deciding factor, but it could work it's way into Snyder's twisted little mind.

look, regardless of whether Marty stays or goes, there is a legitimate question of why when the offense was sputtering in games against Dallas and Philadelphia that Graham was never given a shot to make a difference off the bench.

in a number of games this season the Redskins needed a slight push and nothing more to get over the hump and maybe with his more accurate arm and experience Kent could have earned us another win or two along the way.

When you have the #14 ranked passer in the NFC in Banks you have to think about using your backup when the situations warrants it.

Just as when you don't have a true franchise back you often have to blend in the skills of a couple of players to get adequate production.

While I'm confident he probably could have pulled it off, giving Graham credit for "leading" that comeback is lunacy.

The winning drive started at the Cardinal's 23 yard line after Pierces interception. Graham threw one pass--the left-handed flip to Carter. Great effort, but I'd hardly credit Graham for the win because of it. The rest of the yards were on Davis' legs.

Defense and Davis' legs won this game. No one else.

How about we get off the "twisted little mind" type of comments.

He wasn't so twisted when he hired Marty one year ago, now was he?

Face it, the owner ultimately calls the shots and no one here knows what goes on behind closed doors between Dan and Marty.

Whether Marty stays or goes is out of our control.

Sure, he finished strong, but the list of mistakes he made is very long, as has been bantered about extensively.

He couldn't beat Dallas. He couldn't win most of them at Fedex Field, especially when the playoffs were still possible. His offense ranked near last in the league. Etc., etc., etc.

Point is, if you're a Redskins fan, you're just going to have to go with the flow. If that means another new regime, so be it.

Just win baby.

Just one thing. Unless Dan Snyder has Steve already hired; then it's best stay the course. Thing is, it may already be to late. Marty may resign anyway. Then what? Do you how damage Snyder's crebility will be. No respectible coach or gm in their right mind will want to work for Snyder after this.

As for winning in 2002 with Spurrier. Forget it. He will overhaul the team to fit his style and we will end up having a losing season while it takes time for Steve and the new team to adjust. Just as MArty overhauled the roster; Steve would do the same.
