rtbasye
the answer is- what can't you get? I'd stay with the major brands if you want the most reliable performance- panasonic, sony, jvc, pioneer etc. I'd take a hard look at the Vizios that are on sale at all Sams and Costco's- you can get a 50" for the price of a 42, a 42, for the price of a 37 etc. Consumer Reports gave decent reviews on most LCD's and Plasmas. I personally own a 42" Panasonic Plasma- I love it- altough it is so much cheaper now (anywhere from 1299-1699 depending on sales) than it was in september when I bought it for 1999.99. Good luck, I'm sure you'll enjoy the new tv.
