Joncevensen
Is Saunders still calling the plays or has Gibbs taken it back? I keep thinking I missed the memo and that Gibbs is calling the plays.

sitting bull
That was a 2005 - 2006 Redskins type game...
RiggoReincarnated
I think Gibbs is...I saw the playbook in his hands in the second half. I don't know if he took it over after halftime or did it the whole game...but this was definately a Gibbs type playcalling game.
glikster04
gibbs also looked like he was holding a playcalling sheet...so what exactly does saunders do these days then?

MonkFan8
The two TD drives sure looked Gibbs-esque. Atleast they were a far cry from the ticky-tacky stuff they were running their first 5 posessions.
IHOPSkins
Someone else in another thread said JC called the 2nd TD I asked for confirmation Gibbs said we have to Run...and control the Run We did and we won
jayneal7
Looked like JG offense today. Only 23 passes & 31 runs. A lot of up the gut runs too. THAT'S THE WAY WE DO IT BABY!!!
kevin11
I prefer to run it with portis though.
paul55
I don't care who calls them as long as they keep it up. Hopefully Gibbs told Saunders to run first instead of that crap he used to call for Brunell.
G-Prime
This is what I've been talking about.. The Redskins no matter who's on the field or who's calling the plays are smashmouth, it's ingrained in the soul of the DC, it can't be changed. We play Redskins football and we win period. We play KC, Florida, Dallas(Norv) type ball and we lose. Surprised it's taken 15 years for people to figure it out.
skinpride1
Yes today looked like redskins football!!!
Skins4481
I think it was a combination of both Al Saunders and Joe Gibbs but clearly Gibbs had A LOT of say on what play was going to be called. Classic Joe Gibbs football. It's too bad he didnt get pissed off earlier in the season and do this sooner.
andy hudson
Looked more like JG than AS calling the plays, who cares we won!
MumboSauce
The players were tired of the 700 pages, and all of the fancy stuff and the finesse crap. They got back to being physical, man on man...smashing, driving back, and blowing up the guy in front of you football. Hit em' in the mouth, again, and again. That is the identity that was missing...Run the ball and stop the run. Seemed more like a Gibbs offense to me...not sure who called it though. We may not find out.
