I was surprised that JC got Cooley the ball so many times. I love it. A QB that can find his TE is going to be effective. And Cooley in my opinion is the best TE in our division. Compare Shockey's first three years:

2002 New York Giants 15 14 74 894 12.1 30 2 16 0 49

2003 New York Giants 9 9 48 535 11.1 46 2 6 1 29

2004 New York Giants 15 15 61 666 10.9 38 6 10 0 32

to Cooley's

2004 Washington Redskins 16 9 37 314 8.5 31 6 3 0 23

2005 Washington Redskins 16 16 71 774 10.9 32 7 6 0 44

2006 Washington Redskins 10 10 32 381 11.9 34 4 8 0 20

And it's clear that he stacks up....except for the Shocks first year. Cooley was a great pick. The guy is "Ditka Tough".

I've said it before and I'll say it again...white players should be banned from the NFL. It bothers me that even though we now have a black QB, we are still letting a white player like Cooley on the field to take attention away from him. Ban them all.

There ya go brother. Let your true colors shine through.

You know who Cooley reminds me of?

Mark Bavaro. He was a load to bring down and it seems Cooley is many more times than not delivering the blow instead of receiving it.

In fact I can't remember a time when he has been trucked

That's a good observation but wasn't Bavaro a better blocker than Cooley? Would any that remember say that some of Cooley's game reminds them of Jay Novacek?

Is that you John Thompson?

minus the blocking. Bavaro was a great blocker. Cooley is below average.

Yes. Yes he was a better blocker, agreed.
