SMOSS89
Just hear it on ESPN....didnt realize he was that close..... I think what upsets me the most is the fact that people claim Harrison is a HOF already, and he is, he's a great receiver, however after a long career he is JUST getting around to Art's mark and Art is still isnt in the HOF. I guess the ranting should stop here.

nace14
marvin deserves to pass monk. one of the most humble and talented players in the league. it's like watching monk over again in the manner that he conducts himself. i love watching harrison and i hope he passes everyone. Skinz#28Rules
Dude I know you're only 19 so you probably don't even remember the things that Art Monk did for his team back in the day. Don't take that the wrong way but maybe you should do a little more research. ok so i see you are doing some!
Walking Deadman
Harrison isn't flashy as a WR either. He's alot like art Monk: Quiet guy, gets the job done, catches anything near him, never hear him complain or dance or be a primadonna. HE GETS THE JOB DONE. He probably will have a hard time getting HOF votes as well, since he hasn't even been to a SB (being that Peter Queen and Dr. Zzzzzzzzzz argue that Monk didn't do much in the SB's that he went to as a Skin and thus not getting their votes). Even TO hasn't got the #'s, I bet many HOF voters WOULD RIGHT NOW vote for him......it's really sad. Monk and Harrison should both be 1st ballot HOF guys. skinfan2k
monk had alot of poor yrs as a wr, but i know it was bc of the redskins wanting to run the ball. after harrison first 3 yrs, harrison has yet to not get 80 catches a year. on the other hand monk only broke the 80 rec plateau 3 times. i still gotta say that monk has to make the HOF since he left the game as the leading wr and the passing game has revoultized since then

The Rook
I am happy for Harrison (classy receiver) :applause: and I hope this brings more discussion in the media about the travesty of Art's omission to the HOF. :helmet:
Guest Matt Kyriacou
monk had alot of poor yrs as a wr Huh? WTF are you smoking? When Monk was on the field he was money. Check his stats against Swann and Stallworth, both in the HOF, and come back and tell me something that I don't know. :dallasuck
End2round2sanders
All WR's who pass art monk will get in the hall its the shame that the standard for wr next to jerry rice isn't in the hall.

I guess the ranting should stop here. Don't be upset about it. Art Monk was referred to as a "sure fire" or "first ballot" Hall of Famer near the end of his career too. The Art Monk screwjob (marginalizing his achievments) started after his retirement.

Zen-like Todd
Harrison will never make it in. Catching 1,000 8 yard hooks doesn't make you a hall of famer. What's that? I'm smoking crack? Sorry, that was my Dr. Z impression. Marvin Harrison's career YPC is 1 yard LESS than Art Monk's.
