I don't know about the tougher part, but yeah, Portis is overall a much better running back than Earnest was. As for Duckett/Riggs. Duckett is in his prime, Riggs was a worn out 31 or 32 year old back in 1991. Duckett should be much more effective than Riggs was. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Duckett Short yardage, Grinder for late in the game with lead This will save wear and tear on Portis in short yardage, and to run out the clock It will give the Skins a true short yardage back, something everyone has been wanting for 3 years now Gibbs had it with Riggs, Byner, Ervins Riggins, Rogers, Bryant Riggins Washington (to a lesser extent because Riggins was a big back & a feature back in one) and even in San Diego, he Had Muncie, James, and I believe brought in Pete Johnson as a short yardage guy when he was the OC under Coryell Saunders had it in KC Holmes Feature Back, Blaylock third down change of pace, and Tony Richardson short yardage Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
