Alleged Murder And Suicide By Former Ravens Player

(AP) Oak Ridge, TN The bodies of a former Baltimore Ravens football player and his two young daughters were found yesterday outside a Tenessee Valley Authority power plant near Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Authorities said the deaths of 32-year-old Richard Howard and his daughters were an apparent murder-suicide.

The bodies and a suicide note were found in a vehicle around eleven a-m by a T-V-A police officer who was patrolling a parking lot at the Bull Run fossil plant.

Howard played three seasons for the University of Tennessee, then transferred to Carson-Newman. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an offensive lineman in April 1997 but was released that July. His daughters were identified as Brionna, age 3, and Markayla, age 2.

The T-V-A said there were two outstanding felony rape warrants against Howard in Montgomery County, about 200 miles west of Oak Ridge.
