HailRiggoRanger
thats a lot of $ to give a #4 WR (patten). unless it is a huge cap hit, trade him in a package for draft picks. I agree we should try to trade Patten, but what team is going to take on his salary?
SittingBull
Yeah I agree, different WR sets with different personell to cater to the WRs attributes. It's definitely a luxury and I hope it doesnt hinder us from filling other team needs.
Taylor 36
Gibbs will handle the egos. He is a great at guiding his players and working with them to get them to play for the team. Jacobs should be the first one cut, no questions asked. He has had YEARS to prove himself and couldn't. Or, maybe we can offer him in a package trade deal with Ramsey. Either way, he is the least deserving of being kept on the roster.
Josh90286
1 - Moss2 - Randle El 3 - Lloyd 4 - Patten 5 - Thrash (PR/KR) Jacobs is gone. 1 - Moss 2a - Lloyd 2b (slot) - Randle El (PR/KR) 4 - Patten 5 - Thrash (2nd KR/Special Teams Ace) Lloyd and Randle El both starters (per Clayton saying we will be primarily using a 3 receiver set) so it doesnt matter as much who is the 2 and who is the 3. I just think Randle El will be the one in the slot. Patten was the number 4 in New England where he excelled, so hopefully we will be better off in that situation, even though he will likely be upset about it. He already complained last year about not getting the ball, I can't imagine what he will say this year. Jacobs gone.
edgun88
How do you think the depth chart will be at WR? BTW I never saw this coming. 2 pro-bowl potential receivers in 2 days?! Are you kidding me? anyway... Here's what I think: 1. Santana Moss 2. Randle El :applause: 3. Brandon Lloyd:applause: 4. David Patten
dinothekid
I think lloyd will be #
terpfan
Lloyd will be the #2. El is better fitted as the slot WR.
edgun88
I think that thrash will be our return man and jacobs is gone like the wind. Randle El could be returning punts, also. Put Trash is solid depth at kick return.
Enter Apotheosis
Lloyd will win the starting job easily... especially if he gets a little one-on-one coaching time in during training camp.
VI_SkinsFan
Ditto. Lloyd at number 2. RE is a lot better at #3.
Bonef1de
Definitely Llyod #2 and Randel El #3.
