Big Weirdo
http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/homeNewsDetail.jsp?id=45457 Hoping to add some depth and competition to the defensive end position, the Eagles on Wednesday announced the signing of defensive end Juqua Thomas to a one-year contract for 2006. Thomas, who played with the Eagles last season, was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent once that period officially began. Thomas joined the Eagles last August and impressed the coaching staff in training camp with his quickness and tenacity. He played in a more-than-expected role after making the 53-man roster and saved his best for last, recording 10 tackles, including a career-high seven solo ones, in a starting performance against Washington on New Year's Day. Thomas played the first five seasons of his career in Tennessee and was released last spring by the Titans. The Eagles now have nine players scheduled to become unrestricted free agents. Westbrook36
Was he injured in the beginning of the season? I remember he was "Kearse's boy" and that was the reason we wound up signing him.....then I didn't see anything from him until the very end of the year. As the 4th DE in a rotation, I have no problem with this signing.

I'm just yanking your chain. He's good for depth and that's it. If he comes on strong maybe they'll sign him long term.
