Spaceman Spiff
I think he hits the nail on the head on all aspects, what do you all think? http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=wojciechowski_gene&id=2322300
JerseyGator
You don't make that PI call in the SuperBowl. The interference was the equivalent of a hand check in the NBA and the ref threw the flag late. The refs were obviously affected by the towels and the home crowd. GoCommiesGo
Good article. Seatlle did enough to lose the game not the other way around. We all ****ed and moaned about the Alstott TD in Tampa the first game. But in no way should the Skins have been in the situation to lose the game. Seattle controlled the majority of the game but couldn't close the deal. They ended up the kid on prom night that had his date pass out in bed. Enough to get in the bedroom but not enough to seal the deal.
Inigo Montoya
Agree completely! I am tired of the biatching, Gibbs would be criticized by everyone for making the same comments. If its Holmgren everyone jumps on board for the pitty-party. They lost, point blank. They may have been touchy calls, but they were real calls and you can't fault the refs for that. Are you saying that you give the benefit of the doubt to the Offense? So Ben's rushing TD would be OK with you? What do you mean exactly that they were affected by the towels and the home crowd? Do you think they were afraid for their safety? Do you think they were looking to see happy people in the stands when the penalty is called in their favor? If the fans were so vital to the refs calls then mabye the Seattle fans should have spent their money on plane tickets, hotels and tickets to the game instead of weed, coffee, and Michael Moore movies!
