H-O-G
I feel we will have a very successful offseason because of the following events: #2 WR On Monday night live, WR of the Vikings and KR specialist, Koren Robinson is a free agent and said he would love to be a Washington Redskin in the 2006 season. We might take extra interest in him because of his KR specialty's because Antonio Brown is not doing well at returning Punts and kickoffs. Lavar- Recently Lavar has said he would be willing in doing a new contract. This is all talk for now, but if he actually does a new contract to help our cap, then maybe he does want to be a Redskin for life. DE- Some pretty good pass rushers in this years draft, it should be interesting to see who we pick up in the 2nd round. We are projected to either take Manny Lawson or Darryl Tapp. QB- Earlier today in Joe Gibbs press conference he expressed his confidence in our new QB in Jason Campbell. He said that Jason Campbell is looking good and accurate and can make plenty of plays with his feet. Hail.

kappaluvacee
This off-season is going to be very interesting. I too saw the MNL show and a couple time Robinson slipped up and sad "We" while discussing the skins in '06. He was smiling, but his talk definitely sounded like he had confidence that it could happen.
RedskinzOwnU
I'm excited. So many tid bits of good news today. Seems like we have a viable plan to acquire a WR in FA and then draft and develope a sturdy DE. Sounds good to me.

bulldog
it's a lot easier to keep players and then bring in free agents when you have a playoff season to build off of
H-O-G
Well they realize we are contenders with a lot of young players. Even in Lavar's case he got a taste of playoff victory and is already saying he would redo his contract so that he could stay.

skinthemboys
How about renaldo wynn? He has been a vey dedicated player, certainly not a dominating DE, but to me, hes been big, on and off the field, He has an attitude thats tough to beat, and big in the locker room. I think WR is the position that needs to be addressed. I agree with everything in the original post except for replacing wynn. The D line is a tight unit on and off the field. HailVictory
Koren would be an intriguing pickup, especially if he wants to come here and is willing to be flexibe with his contract and incentives. The only problem is that he has a long history of being a malcontent and letting his teammates down. Not exactly a Gibbs character guy... Though he seems to have a renewed dedication and respect toward the nfl and could finally be in position to realize his rare athletic talents. Gibbs should bring him in and get a better read on this kid's head. We could certainly use his special teams prowess and he'd make a phenomenal #2. bricucci
Wow we are starting to sound like a sound and structured organization, a long way from the Old Danny boy. Anyone have a chance to ready Feinsteins book on the Ravens, it really portrays Danny as a complete AHOLE! Gibbs is the man!

Renaldo Wynn has an okay season, nothing Great. I think 95% of the fans would like to see a young strong sack machine come in and take over his duties. Plus he broke his arm so you can't be sure that he will ever be 100% again. just my :2cents:
New
To hear Gibbs talk about Campbell, it would appear we will see him sooner rather than later. Gibbs seemed more candid and forthright than usual in stating his positive opinion of him! Although Brunell came through for this team this year, I really question his ability to be the starter next year, especially for the entire year given his age, and the apparent adjustment defenses made against us in the pass game in the 2nd half of the year! skinsfan12
Don't forget... Coaches - Retention of the coaching staff will ensure that the Redskins maintain at least three consecutive years' worth of stability in their schemes and packages. This is considerable given their revolving door in the Defense side prior to the arrival of our present day crew. Coach Williams' contract extension goes a long way in solidifying the Skins as a formidable defensive juggernaught for the forseeable future and provides a glimmer of hope that success will continue once (*gasp*) our beloved Coach Gibbs considers his job complete and re-retires. . I would love to see him in action next year.... and robinson would be a good pickup i think... and a pass rush DE stud would be nice IMO.... man is it April yet???? aussieskin
It is a pity that everyone except the mediots can see that the skins are on the way up, we now have players from other clubs asking to be redskins next season, this includes lavar restructuring his contract, i am so excited i want the next season to start in march not september...go skins I love gibbskins football
Lil Kenzo
It is great to be talking positively going into the offseason. I am so used to talking about firing people and dramatic changes. I am just glad that this season, the skins' can make additions and minor adjustments instead of starting all over again. I smell STABILITY.
