Jizmaglobin Posted November 15, 2005 Share Posted November 15, 2005 What I can't figure out is why the refs helped you guys with the 2 phantom holding calls against the Cowboys to get you the win in week 2? wow,this came from nowhere.just relax san diego.you must be upset that we weren't able to help you out in your quest for your division.there is a legitimate ***** here.and as far as the chargers goes that'll be soon enough.just another week of the soft part of our schedule.should be the toughest part of that soft spot,but still in a 5 week stretch where we shouldn't lose any. ashburnskinsfan Posted November 15, 2005 Share Posted November 15, 2005 I think the Alstott play highlights the problem with a referee making a call when they don't actually know what happened, and then requiring indisputable evidence to overturn it. The delay between the end of th play and the call showed that it was a guess. In other sports, such as cricket, the umpires can call for a video review without making a call, and then there is no onus either way on overturning a call.
