EliMustDie28
Maybe, Maybe not. But I hope he goes out and lays some wood and redeems himself from that unsatisfactory performance against philly. Come on harris we all know you can do better. And if not put in Carlos. Hopefully the "U" will put Simms in the I.C.U. :dallasuck :eaglesuck :gaintsuck
redskin48
I would just like to see him make the tackel
redman
I'm not rooting for an opposing player to get injured . . . just roughed up a bit. Harris has certainly been involved in a number of missed tackles in recent weeks after having made such a great start to the year in that regard . . . the 4th down play at Dallas to effectively end the game being the best example. He needs to pick it up.
202Chaz
Is he the type to lay someone out on the field
redman
Is he the type to lay someone out on the fieldNo, but I'd certainly expect him to be able to quickly tackle all but the biggest WR's one-on-one in the open field, and to wrap up and slow down the RB's, TE's and large WR's enough to allow us to gang tackle them if he can't bring them down himself. We don't need highlight reel plays from him, just sure tackling.
SkinsNumberOne
Harris had a good season last year as our #3. I thought he was ready to move up the ladder, but this year hasn't given me a lot of confidence. I was, however, pretty happy with drafting Rogers and he's lived up to expectations I'd say. nneece
I've seen no evidence on the field that this will happen.
jnhay
Why do so many corners not know how to tackle. I would think that all those years of playing football would teach them that you should try to wrap players up and not just go for the wimpy shoulder tackle to the toes routine. JimmiJo
Um, you guys may want to watch the highlights from Skinsfanatic as he made some huge tackles during the game, and has all year. Isn't he the one who made the tackle on the last play in Dallas? Great backs and receivers make people miss, in fact we expect Moss, Cooley, Portis, et al to beat people one-on-one in the open field. Harris has requited himself quite well this year and I think it unfair to cast him as one who is not making plays. Sorry for the third edit of this post, but the more I think of it, the more this thread and the thinking behind it smack of the "throw the bum out" mentality that some of our fans are quick to adopt if we don't play perfectly every single down. I'm glad someone else realizes this. sometimes guys get juked. It happens to the best of them. I also think that Walt might have been playing a little banged up these last 2 weeks. He didn't look as aggresive as he did earlier in the season.
EliMustDie28
LOOK i wasn't discrediting Harris. I have commented before on this forum about his game saving takle at dallas. It just looks like that in some games he loses the will to tackle. Like in the giants game when he rode on that guys back for 10 yards.
Lead Blocker
Just take the right angle, remain under control, and wrap up the gift. I think we should start there. On some of the misses it looked like he was trying to hard to make the big shoulder-block type of tackle. A nice, boring, solid defensive plays works just fine for me.
