canesluver
Unbelievable statistics. 24% above the average on losing fumbles, and 37% below the average on recovering an opponents fumble. I do believe we are in for quite a few fortunate bounces! If we really turn this ratio back to the norm, we might finish 7-1 or 6-2 in our remaining games. Wouldn't that be nice. Another nice item in that article was we have a 5-3 record against one of the top two or three toughest schedules, with a horrible turnover ratio. VERY impressive to accomplish that feat. canesluver
Well according to Sims stats we should get a +2 this sunday. That'll probably be in picks though. How about 1 for Springs, and 1 for Taylor!!
Mark The Homer
The Redskins were minus 13 in turnover ratio at one point this season. The past five games, they've been plus 8. They've finished the season plus 1, but that's not important. What's important is how they're playing NOW. And NOW they're plus 8 the last five games. I thought this thread was worth a bump. http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=11529Expectations, Bounces & Meltdowns October 20, 2005 By Mark Steven ... This is not a bad team simply giving the ball away. This is a team solid on both sides of the ball still learning to get out of it’s own way, and suffering through an anomalous statistical run. Absent a rift in the very fabric of the universe, the bouncing ball is likely to start finding its way into friendlier hands, the percentages are going to begin to even out, and the Redskins are going to start climbing up that differential scale. Says here that when they do, in the words of the entity formerly known as David Bowman, “something is going to happen.” What, you ask? “Something wonderful.” ... :helmet:
Om
Confession: I was this close to making that precise bump yesterday. More gratifying this way.
SkinsFTW
Wow, I didn't know they dug out of that turnover hole. I figured they would still be negative. It seems that Brunell stopped fumbling 1-2 times a game around midseason.
