  1. @BayouBrave86 I have actually already watched your 52 min all 22 video. But I’m not sure you have because all it does re-iterate that he doesn’t throw over the middle.
  2. You act like Drake isn’t a dual threat qb. He is every bit the runner that Allen, Mahomes, Big Ben, and Steve Young are/was. And yes, I’m well aware that it was ND State and Daniels plays in the SEC. Doesn’t change the fact that the majority of his TDs were to open WRs on fade routes or jump balls to one on one matchups to WRs running fade routes.
  3. I agree with you on JJ. For me it’s: 1a. Caleb 1b. Drake 2. JJ and I think the other 3 QBs are 2nd rounders. I’ve watched a lot of JJ the past few days. It’s the complete opposite of Jayden in that he is consistently making tight window throws and throwing over the middle. He also doesn’t throw a lot of deep fade routes. My one gripe with him is that he seems to only throw fastballs and there isn’t a lot of touch passes.
  4. You can watch for yourself. I counted 2 balls over the middle the entire game. One was dropped and one sailed over the wr. To me Daniels is an anorexic version of Trey Lance. Lance had a ton of TDS in college and only 1 int because he just threw go routes and never had to throw into tight windows. Lance also was a one read and take off qb. I don’t care how pretty your deep ball is, it’s not something that is sustainable in the NFL. Neither is scrambling every other play.
  5. I also haven’t seen the small hand critique for Daniels. I don’t think that will be an issue for him. But I am very interested to see the height and weight. He doesn’t look like he is 6’4 to me. There was also a video of him I saw recently where he was on GMF standing next to Nate Burleson and they looked like they were the same height. Burleson measured 6’1 when he was at the combine. Maye on the other hand looks ever bit of 6’4. We have all seen the picture of him towering over Howell at the bball game and this past weekend standing next to Will Levis (who measured at 6’4 at the combine).
  6. That’s kinda my point. They were going up against good defensive talent and still dominating them. I 100% agree that Josh Downs helped Maye out tremendously and showed what he is capable of with decent talent around him. I also don’t think Downs is anywhere near the talent that Nabers and Thomas Jr. are. My dream draft is Maye at 2 and trade back into the late first if Thomas Jr falls to grab him.
  7. Lol yeah highlights bc in those highlights you can clearly see Nabers and especially Thomas Jr. running with 5+ yards of separation past the nearest defender or coming down with a 50-50 balls, or taking a underthown ball to the house. Sure there a couple nice passes, but im personally way more impressed with the WRs. I guarantee you Tez or any other UNC wr don’t have highlight reels like those two or Lacey!
  8. When you watch the film and see how ridiculously wide open his WRs are against that tough competition, it matters. Not to mention all the times those stud WRs padded his stats by taking a simple pass to the house.
  9. Yeah that Clemson team was also littered with 5 ⭐️ recruits and first round/second draft picks. Seeing as how bad Tez Walker looked at the Senior Bowl, there might not be another Tarheel drafted until round 3. You scoffed at Maye’s stats this year, but he also had an insane redshirt freshman year with 4,321 yards, 38 TDs and 7 ints. And it’s not like he was surrounded with 2 1st round WRs then either. Those stats as a RS Freshman are waaaayyy more impressive to me than Daniels’ RS Seniors stats regardless of the conference!
  10. No offense, but those stats really don’t mean much to me. If you go back and look through the SEC passing leaders the past few years you are going to see similar stats from guys like Bryce Young, Hendon Hooker, Kyle Trask, Mac Jones, Tua, and Joe Burrow. I think we can all agree there is only one guy on that list that we would like to have on our team. Now compare that to the college stats of the QBs that Maye is constantly being compared to like Jordan Love, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, and Trevor Lawrence. All of which played in “sub-par” conferences.
  11. All these guys hyping my boy Drizzy Drake up is making me nervous that the Bears might take him at 1. For the record, I also really like Caleb and I’m cool if we get him, but I think I prefer Drake’s upside, physical tools, and personality at this point. It’s such a no-brainer that we just stay at 2 and take whichever one the Bears don’t take. But I will die on the hill that Jayden is going to be bust. I will honestly stop being a fan of this team after 30 years if we take him at 2.
  12. The same Louis Riddick who was drooling over Haskins? I will never take any scouting advise from him again.
  13. Depending on how free agency goes, and if we can shore up the o-line / defensive holes, I would actually love option 2 if Brian Thomas Jr. is still on the board. I don’t think there is another wr in this draft with his combo of size, speed, and run after catch ability. Pair him with Drizzy Drake and we are golden!
  14. That’s cute. Tim Hasselbeck, who actually has played Qb in the league and watched the film on the QBs, thinks Maye is the best Qb in the draft and one of the best Qb prospects he has have seen.
  15. I can give you a long list of SEC QBs who put up awesome stats and didn’t amount to anything in the NFL.
  16. lol thanks! I’ve been lurking in the shadows for years but haven’t felt compelled to chime in until this whole Daniels at #2 started gaining momentum (thanks a lot Mel). I just don’t see his game translating to the NFL unless you give him weapons like Tyreek. We don’t have that. I haven’t watched the All-22 of every game, but I have probably seen every throw of his and Mayes that is on YouTube. Not just the highlights. The most glaring thing that stands out to me is about 80% or Daniels’ throws are to wrs that have like 5 yards of separation. Nabers and Thomas Jr. are so good! Defenses are so scared of getting burned by them that they play way off so Daniels can just dink and dunk 10 yard hook routes or underneath crossing patterns to them all day, which they turn into 50 yard tds. If his first read isn’t there, he is off running He does throw a nice slot fade though… Not saying Maye is perfect, but I think his tools translate much better to the NFL. And, in comparison to Daniels film, he has to work hard for his completions! It seems like most of his completions, there is a guy draped all over the receiver or at least within a yard. He might run like the wind, but I can guarantee he will not be impressing anyone with feats of strength!
  17. I love how people try to bash Maye for inaccuracy on easy throws. Maye would have had 500 yards passing in this game with these WRs. Daniels also has no zip on those 10-15 yard dig and out routes. Yes, he is a better runner than Maye. That. Is. It! Hard pass for me.
