Specialists are an odd bunch.  One year they know what they're doing, the next they don't, then they do again, then they don't again.  And coaching actually seems to have little to do with it.

I think it was Suisham, who at times couldn't have kicked the ball into the Atlantic Ocean which standing in a rowboat 30 miles off the coast of Iceland while he was here, being coached by Danny Smith, went to Pittsburgh, coached by Danny Smith, and didn't miss for like 7 years.  It it wasn't Swishy, it was somebody.

Reading his draft profile on NFL.com does not make me think this is new. For one thing he didn’t snap on punts for a while and it was determined he lacked consistent placement making the punter have to move around.

I don’t understand how that is someone you trade up for.

As another poster, I can't recall who, pointed out, the new GM may choose to take a rookie QB with 5 years on a rookie deal over Sam who would have only 2 years left. Makes sense, especially if the new GM isn't sold on Sam and falls in love with one of the guys coming out.

Ok but you can and should have multiple QBs on your roster. So again. Why cut him from your roster?

QB's have bounced back from beatings before, specifically Troy Aikman. He got his head handed to him over and over again his first year as a starter. Sam can do it too, especially with a new staff coming in to clear his head. That being said, who knows if he'll even be here?

Why would Sam not be here? He’s on a 5the round rookie contract.

I welcome all solutions to this nightmare. In GM I trust.

BTW, what's the deal with buttermilk?

Traditionally it’s what left over after turning milk into butter and letting it sit to ferment and thicken. Another of milks delicious byproducts.

Without milk we wouldn’t have cheese, whipped cream, buttermilk pancakes or buttermilk fried chicken.

Milk is such a great ingredient as is buttermilk. Nowadays buttermilk is just milk that gets fermented with the same cultures used to make yogurt.
