  1. "You know what this team needs?! A slow guy who takes a long time to get up to his embarrassingly slow top speed!" 🤣
  2. I wonder if it'll be a dog or a cat?
  3. Now you're just being draftist. 😉 Next year, I think we should have a vote just prior to the start of the draft. The guys running this thing can also use that as a means of last minute confirmation of everyone's participation, too. Kill two birds...
  4. If it were up to me, there'd be no trading of future picks. I get that NFL teams often use this strategy. But as some have stated, there are literally no repercussions come the next ES Mock Draft. It's unreasonable to suggest we "keep track" of the future moves. Come the following year, you're no longer doing a mock draft based on that year's given draft order. Instead, you've basically just created an alternate universe and are doing a mock draft using a different draft order. I don't think we lose much in "fun value" by eliminating future draft pick trades. It's the same thing with trading players. But I do think we sacrifice more value and realism by allowing them.
  5. Reallyyy like this guy as a depth piece.
  6. I thought about Wade at 104. Definitely good value if he gets his act together. I think some team would be wise to bring him in as a slot corner. He seemed to do well there before Okudah and Arnette left.
  7. Guys, this pick stealing has become quite a problem. I might have a solution though: Let's set up another thread and we can each take turns listing players who we want so other teams know not to take them. We'll go one at a time so everyone gets a shot. Maybe we can do the order based on each team's previous season standings? Maybe some teams can have extra chances to name a player as compensation for losing players in free agency? We can also take selections away from a team like the Patriots who cheat a lot. It's just an idea...
  8. As did I. I feel like he's a second round guy. Nice consolation for losing BOTH Dickerson and Meinerz with the pick right before mine. Lizard King never sleeps
  9. With the 104th selection in the ES GM's Mock Draft, the Charm City Purple Birds select... JOSH MYERS -- Center -- The Ohio State Once again, Baltimore goes back to the offensive line well to rebuild a group whose depth was truly tested in 2020. Myers has the experience and talent to step in and start at center on day one. He also has the ability to play guard if needed. This is one tough sumbich. Check this out... " Unbeknownst to the public, Myers played the final three games of the season -- arguably the biggest of the year for the Buckeyes -- with an injured foot. 'I kept it very quiet during the season but I did get a turf toe injury in the Big Ten Championship Game,' he revealed on Tuesday. 'And then I decided to play through it and play in the Clemson game and ended up hurting it significantly worse in the Clemson game. And then again, I played in the Alabama game.' After the season, Myers got an MRI and an X-ray on his foot, which revealed he had a broken bone and an avulsion of the tendon on another bone. Myers had surgery and is now two months into a four-month recovery process. Because of this recovery, Myers only did his measurements and bench press, where he managed 29 reps, no on-field activity, at Ohio State’s pro day. 10. Apologies for the delay! Just got back to the PC. Please give me a couple minutes to run through my board.
  11. Although I didn't really need him, I was absolutely considering Brady with my next pick. For awhile now, I've thought he'd be a great OL target for a team that addressed other needs earlier. He's got solid college tape. But then he goes out and destroys at his pro day. I have a feeling he'll be creeping up the draft boards now.
  12. I lost another one. Great pick. Exciting player
  13. I was REALLY hoping he'd make it to me at 104. I really like this guy. Reminds me of Honey Badger.
  14. Super high on Quinn. I think he's going to wind up an early-to-mid 2nd round guy. Very athletic for his size and has a reputation as a hard worker and high football IQ. He was my next pick, you bum! Who is tommy tremble? Never heard of him. He hasn't even been mentioned in the Draft Prospects thread.
  15. The Baltimore offensive line has been somewhat of a mess lately. Marshal Yanda retired. Ronnie Stanley got hurt. And now our RT turned LT, Orlando Brown Jr, wants to stay a LT. So what do you do when your 6'8" OT named Brown wants to leave? You take his damn jersey and give it to another 6'8" OT named Brown... With the 80th selection in the ES GM's Mock Draft, the Charm City Purple Birds select... SPENCER BROWN -- OT -- Northern Iowa "Massive right-tackle prospect with starting potential at the next level. Fires off the snap, shows explosiveness at the point, and effectively blocks with leverage for a taller lineman. Plays with a nasty attitude, displays strength, and easily turns defenders off the line. Gets his hands into opponents, steers them from the action, and controls defenders once engaged at the point. Makes outstanding use of blocking angles, anchors in pass protection, and keeps his feet moving. Keeps his head on a swivel and looks for someone to hit. Quickly recognizes assignments and works well with linemates." https://www.profootballnetwork.com/spencer-brown-nfl-draft-player-profile-uni-tackle/
  16. With the 79th selection in the ES GM's Mock Draft, the Charm City Purple Birds select... DYAMI BROWN -- WR -- University of North Carolina "North Carolina wide receiver Dyami Brown was among the many dynamic playmakers featured in the Tar Heel offense over the last two seasons. In 2019 and 2020, Brown had 1,000 receiving yards in each season while collecting 20 receiving touchdowns and averaging more than 20 yards per reception. Brown is a terrific athlete and vertical route-runner that excels at getting deep where his burst to the football and ball skills led to big plays down the field. Because he’s such a good vertical receiver, it opens up a world of possibilities for him to snap off routes and get open in the intermediate areas of the field. Brown is an elite competitor who battles as a ball carrier, gives great effort as a blocker, and is fearless working the middle of the field. When it comes to growth areas for Brown, developing his ability to clear press coverage and adding more functional strength are the most notable. In addition, he ran a simple route tree in college, so expanding his route tree will be necessary at the next level. Brown has the potential to become a solid No. 2/3 receiver at the next level for an offense that likes to air it out." https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/dyami-brown/9Hup8dWP3v
  17. The draft Gods are frowning upon me this year. Another selection ripped from my grasp. Give me a few minutes to find a replacement.
  18. This kid? Guess what he looks like now... Who knew he would become a great NFL talent!?
  19. With the 15th pick in the 3rd round, 79th Did you know that Walker Little's grandfather uses a walker?
  20. If anyone is interested in moving up to 80, please let me know soon.
