I cant understand how any fan can pay their hard earned money to see a team that you have 0 chance at a superbowl.  Until then, buy tickets on the game week and save money

Their odds right now are 1:32...

    Same as every other team.

    No need to apologize!

I didn't see the payment plan option on-line, so I emailed the ticket office.

They called me and said that it's not available on-line, but you can call and set it up.

I was able to do the 3 payment option online just now.

I think it'll depend on which ones they decide to discontinue.  There are for sure some heinous seats that were added.....including some right smack in back of pillars.....but there are probably some people who would prefer to sit in a limited view 200 than they would in a higher-up 400-level seat. Especially since the 400-level seat will likely be more pricey.

Here's MTH's great FedExField thread for reference on the difference in the 200 level seats added in 2004 on the visitor's side:

    es.redskins.com/topic/142397-everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-fedexfield/

In relation, the Jaguars "untarped" 3500 seats for their playoff game against the Bills and are keeping these seats available for the 2018 season.....the first time these seats have been available since 2005.

They should remove them because they're constantly in the hands of visiting team fans. If they were used by Redskins fans I wouldn't care. Since they're held primarily by scalpers, cut 'em.

So it seems the Redskins are really having a hard time selling tickets at all now. On my season ticket holder portal it states that in 2018 Upper Level Standing Room and 200 level limited/obstructed view season tickets will not be offered.  Those that had these seats will be offered the opportunity to click a link to secure replacement seating.  Will be curious to see if they are provided better seats than some of us long time season ticket holders. Guess ol' Danny Boy is gonna rip a few thousand more seats out of this stadium again.  Pretty soon it will only be a lower bowl stadium in a few more years!  What a joke. 18, Upper Level Standing Room and 200 Level Limited View / Obstructed View season tickets will not be offered. "

They should rip out all of the obstructed view seats. Even though they can sell them, they should have never put them in.

Well said brother, that's 4 more in 221 dropping out too. I will still watch .....on my phone, in a golf cart enjoying myself.

Congrats on the total failure....You suck at life.

In the first 13 rows? That *should* be an impossible to get ticket.

If I still lived in the DMV I'd probably do the season ticket drill.  Flying from Florida, I typically fly up to 2-3 games a season, sometimes I'll do one game on the road.  And I've been doing it for a long time now.

As for season ticket holders motivations, what you are saying makes all the sense in the world and sounds great and I can easily respect it.  In my own way, I am the same, I am not in the camp of Bruce-Dan or whatever could steal my fandom.  I keep coming back to games regardless of what they do.

Having said that, I've read enough comments on different mediums, talk radio and have some family and friends who have been ticket holders to know that not everyone sees it the same way.  I personally know multiple people who have given up their season tickets in part because of the FO.

Chris Russell who claims to have a good source in the front office said months ago that he heard that they are struggling to sell some of their premium tickets-suite packages.  And there is some concern.

You got the TV ratings bordering at all time lows.  I get the idea that the communal experience at the stadium transcends and trumps all else.  But I gather you get enough people who see it differently that there might be some concern with the FO.  Will see.

I think the FO or team performance or traffic or whatever are the excuses people tell themselves to let them go for financial reasons or life concerns. It's the hair that broke the camel's back if you will.

The key to the Redskins is to make it not about those things, otherwise they're only selling tickets (I'm not even talking season ticket packages) when they're dominant. The fixed ratio of 1:32 should tell the ticket office that they need a different tactic to regularly fill the stadium.

The strategy to make it a country club experience is also flawed. I can get a better country club experience at my country club.

This was directed to premium (club) level season ticket holders. They send a similar survey out to guys in general admission as well.

What I think odd about the survey is they think those things matter in the season ticket buying decision. The only time anyone is going to be really satisfied with things like "direction of the team" or the leadership team is if they're winning super bowls. Doc Walker will tell you, "if it ain't winning it ain't for me".

But owning season tickets isn't about that. It's about tradition with friends and family. In a twisted way it's about community... the mob environment with 67,000-ish fans screaming like freakin' lunatics or commiserating together.

It's really not to dissimilar from church. We all gather together once a week to celebrate our way. Sure there's an occasional Catholic at a Baptist service and they may even toss a buck in the plate as it's passed around. But they're either converting or finding a church that celebrates how they want if they're signing up for tithing. No one is making that commitment based on who's the acting Bishop.

I was a season ticket holder for 10 years had started with 2 seats went to 4.  I gave them up at the end of the Shanahan Griffin debacle.  It just smacked me in the face that Snyder is the issue.  All the other crap is just winds blowing around the eye of the storm.  I believe Snyder sets up a toxic team atmosphere and as long as he is in charge the circus will remain, the act's will just change every few years.

    Do you remember your section?

I love my seats (west end zone, two on the aisle) but, like you, this season has clinched my decision to not renew.  Being a season ticket holder does not have the prestige it once did with the proliferation of available tickets in the aftermarket; heck, one of my tailgaters told me of someone he knew who would get Club seats for well under $100 an hour before kickoff.  And this was when we weren't playing half bad ball ...

Besides the obvious already discussed on other threads with regard to front office (including ownership), I won't spend another dime on anything NFL related as long as Roger Goodell remains commissioner.

    1. How long have you been a season ticket holder?

    2. How many seats are you giving up?

After another lackluster season. Watching a bunch of overpaid prima donnas who don't care about this game it's time to let these worthless season tickets go. Like Brian Mitchell stated on the post game show... "If you the players don't give a dam, then why should I!"

May I ask you 3 questions?

    1. How long have you been a season ticket holder?

    2. How many seats are you giving up?

    3. What's your section?

  11. I can't recall the exact zone but it was section 306. A padded seat and a jersey does not make a good deal. Unless something crazy happens, I assure you for 100% fact that you WILL lose money if your intention is to buy them and try to re-sell to get your money back. That's simply not gonna happen, sorry. If you plan on going to a game or two only, there is zero reason to even consider purchasing club seats or any season tickets for that matter. It may be an ego thing to "be in the club of season ticket holders" but it is an incredibly poor financial decision.  Buy your tickets on the secondary market a day or so before the game and you will be much better off AND have much better seats for less money. For the money you save, you can buy tickets, get better seats, get food and drinks and still have money left over in your pocket. Trust me - been there, done that. It's a losing proposition.

    +1

and if you're going to get tickets and sell them... please sell them only to Redskins fans.

  12. Thinking about buying club seats, need everyone's help to confirm or walk away. I can get seats in D zone that I really like at $2,580 per seat with a 4 year agreement. I can only make 2-4 games a year and will need to sell the rest, plus figure that I'm going to eat the preseason seat cost. - maybe get a write off by donating them or something.

    Do you pull the trigger?

The only reason you'd take them is because you love them and don't mind taking a bath on the ones you're selling.

  13. A nice feature going forward would be the ability to flag a section... like say your window comes up and nothing's available, you can check a box that says "notify me when seats become available". if you could set a minimum quantity that would be even better.

+1 - this would be REALLY nice.

  14. I can only see my section and sections that are more expensive than mine (you have to call and talk to someone to downgrade)

    Unavailable sections:

    Home: 101, 142, 141,140

    Away: 120,121,122,123

    Available

    Section - Tickets available

    (home)

    102 - 3

    203 - 2

    103 -1

    104 - 12

    139 - 11

    239 - 4

    (away)

    118 - 31

    218 - 5

    119 - 10

    219 - 6

    124 -2

    224 -2

    125 - 4

    225 - 8

A lot of these are a group of seats, and some singles. Like the group of 12 in 104, is 3 sets of 3 and 3 single seats.

I, unfortunately, am not in a position to spend more money. Oh well, I'll have to check back later and see if someone moves...

    Edit:

A nice feature going forward would be the ability to flag a section... like say your window comes up and nothing's available, you can check a box that says "notify me when seats become available". if you could set a minimum quantity that would be even better.

Also, it looks like they invested some time into the renderings of the seats.

I seem to recall it just being a birds eye view of the section with little squares you pick. now they give you a view looking at the section from the field, you can actually see a very accurate (at least for my section) depiction of how close to the stairs you are and what it looks like.

    Great update.

I wonder what will be available tomorrow after a day of moves..

  15. Just got an email to add seats. Followed the link looks like there is a decent amount of lower corner and endzone seats open.

Mine didn't have a link (or I missed it). The email said to call.

I'd have much preferred a link like in previous years or like the upgrade process.

  16. Additional seat day is today. Unlike previous years, you had to call. Nothing in the sections I care about this year except OV. There were still a few lower bowl seats out there but nothing really choice.

  17. I would be interested in hearing the other guy's story, because now that you mention it there are two possibilities.  The first, and most likely, is that my father used to be a season ticket holder and we have the same first and last name, so they could think I am him (the tickets were also originally my great uncle's, who used to play for the Redskins so that could be it too.)  The second, is that when I originally got the phone call after putting myself on the list in 2013, I told them I was only interested in lower bowl and not the top level because I went with my dad and uncle (different uncle) to games for over a decade and was finished with the walk up to the 400 section.  I doubt they took the time to record that, but it's a possibility.

My co-worker didn't have such a story. He's just a guy that was on the list. He retold me how they offered him a block of 5... they only took 2 of those 5.
