  1. I hope Howell plays well and lights it up, but it doesn't matter if we stick with Howell next year or draft a QB or go Free Agency. If Rivera and company doesn't fix this offensive line we will be far off next year then this year. Cutting Wentz saves us 28M I think. I'm hoping Heinicke stays and resigns as a backup but I think he's going to another team. I want Howell to be the QB of this team and I want us to resign Payne.

  2. As of now we will be eliminated. Hopefully the Vikings can come back. Need the Packers to lose today and beat the Lions next week and the Seahawks to lose today or next week and we have to beat the Cowboys. At the end of the day we had our chances so it is what it is.

He was god awful by every possible metric at assessing QB play.  Joey Slye is not going 4/4 from 58 yards every week, the defense isn’t going to force turnovers and score every week, the running game isn’t going to dominate every week.

There were zero tears shed when Heinicke hit the bench.  Rivera consulted with his captains for Christ sake.

He rightfully thought the offense needed a spark. He wrongfully thought Carson was capable of providing it.

Do you think all the Captains agreed? What's your point here lol? Wentz was straight up garbage. Heinicke would have given us a chance atleast. Take your metric and look at Wentz today smh.

  4. Some of us knew how Wentz was going to play the same guy that led us to a 2-4 record.  Rivera and company trying to justify themselves with Wentz after the 49ers game. Keep what has been working. Heinicke put a spark in this team when he came in and they think Wentz was going to put a spark? Scott Turner called plays scared with Wentz. No play action or anything.  If that's the case should have kept Heinicke in from the get go.

I was a wentz supporter in that, if he’s starting, I wish success for him, just as I do any QB that starts. If he starts next week, I’ll wish him success. If he doesn’t succeed, so be it. If it’s another QB that starts, I’ll support that one too :)

I was rooting for Wentz to play well too but he didn't. Should have never made the change

  6. As a Heinicke supporter, if somehow Wentz plays well and gets us in the playoffs and even gets us a playoff win you have to bring him back but restructure his deal so we can resign Payne. Watching Wentz against the 49ers it seems like he knows the playbook now. He didn't hold the ball to long and made quick throws and made quick decisions that was mostly on target.

Tiebreakers don’t matter since we have a tie…and since it’s still possible for the Packers to go 9-8, we need them to lose at least once.

You're right. Packers basically has to win out to get in depending what we do or even the Lions cause they play them the last week. We win the next two we're in. Packers lose tomorrow consider them done. Packers lose tomorrow and we win next week with a Seahawks and Lions loss we're in.

Is that actually true? That if the packers lose tomorrow, and the Seahawks and lions lose next week and we win, we have a playoff spot locked up, making week 18 irrelevant?

Packers have eight losses to our seven. If we win next week with the Seahawks and Lions lose we clinch. We have the tie breaker over the Packers since we beat them.

  9. I'm a Heinicke supporter, but I'm glad Wentz came in after that int. I was really impressed with Wentz with the playing time and he should finish this season out. When Wentz came in I was worried that he would hold the ball too long and take sacks, but he made quick throws and made great decisions. He still came in prepared and looks like he knows this offense now. We're still the 7th seed so let's see what we got with him.
