Mclaurin talking aboht jayden really got me hype about our qb.

Knowing we lack that true dominant rusher is what propelled me wanting burns first or hunter if burns went elsewhere. We got neither and though we got some rotating pieces, if we wanted to play coverage and rush 4...our best rushers on the team are all dts, including Newton who I believe has the potential to be top 5 dt by his 3rd year. But who is gonna come off the edge from flushing the qb from pocket? Maybe luvu? Maybe Jamin? Idk. Maybe fowler? We shall see But I hope the dc got some answers cause I've seen us play defense where we was able to get middle pressure and all the qb had to do was go to the edge and dice us up running or passing

It will be interesting to see how Whitt adjusts the defense to deal with the inevitable up-tempo offenses.  But, yes, I'm eager to see how all of the pieces fit together in different packages and schemes.  

Apparently our offense will run a lot of up tempo or no huddle so they'll get good practice against our off in camp etc

We have seen drastic turn arounds multiple times recently simply by getting rid of bad coaches. I think with dq and staff om defense we will have a top 10 defense. Jayden daneils is pro ready. We go 9 8

Payne is 26 this year. That is super young for a dt in his second year on 2nd contract. By the time year 4 comes of newton's rookie contract payne will just be nearing 30. No reason to move on from home...

It's such a short sighted view of horrible roster building like we just didn't come out of that mentality. Reminds me of the israelites in exodus when they was free from Egypt and wanting to go back to Egypt because they simply was hungry or thirsty.

You don't draft specifically for needs like Ron did. Haven't yall had enough of those? Also., our defense absolutely was trash last year. Worst in the league and one of the worst defenses period in history. That means including Allen and payne, they sucked too. Now sure we can attribute it to poor coaching amongst other things but to say they are our strength is completely naive and blind. Our d line was never a so called STRENGTH because they usually underwhelmed and unde achieved given their draft status. Which is why we got rid of sweat and young and guess what? Defense still sucked with them.

Watching him play reminds me of aaron donald at penn state the way he destroyed o linemen with his acceleration and strength. He is gonna come on our team and be probably the star of our defense by year 3 of his career if he pans out.

Wonder if quan Martin gave them the inskde scoop of him as well since they were teammates

I just go back to the phrase it's not a rebuild just a retool. So when u think of Bobby wagner coming here...he is gonna want to win. Maye being much younger is the better prospect to rebuild with but if u just looking to retool you take the qb giving you the best chance out the gate
