  1. Anyone get the below email today offering free gear?   I had 2 credits available.

My options were a Nike shirt (2 credits), or a tumbler, bag or hat (each 1 credit).   I opted for the shirt.

Yep, I had dropped two of my four tickets in 2021.  The other two I sold to my Redskins Buddy Steve who has been buying two of my four for years.

I got the notice in the mail and did not even bother to open it.  I got a call this afternoon from someone in the ticket office saying today was the deadline to renew and did I want to renew?  I was like WTF WFT?  I said I really wanted to xfer them to my friend and could I do that.  She said yes and there was a form to fill out  I asked if there was a fee, 'cause you know how much sneaky Snyder loves his fees, and she said no.  I texted my friend to see if he wanted them again and that we could xfer them later.  He said yes.  I opened the letter and it mentions 3 levels of Gold Membership - Family and Friends, Ultra, and Business Network, but NO explanation of what they were or how they worked.  I got him friends and family.

So I'm trying to do this from memory but the different memberships are really "what events you get to go to being a STH".   For instant if you did F&F, you get invited to Bush Gardens and there is some Fedex field Event to take pictures etc.    Taste of Fedex or whatever they recently called it was not part of it.  So basically they split up events that in the past were always available to everyone and put them in different groups.

And officially all season with no Redzone access

Yup, this pissed me off to no end.  And I made the ticket office well aware of that.   Don't advertise it as a perk but then not be available.  Understand they have no control over it not working, but they should have done something to offset it or at least sent out an email.

It is embarrassing how much better the GameDay experience is at CapitalOne then FedEx, light-years difference.

I'm not 100% sure on that.  I've owned Caps Season tickets for 13 years and Redskins Tickets for 12 years and I can say the Caps GameDay experience has gotten worse and worse.  Lately the Caps have been all about making more money instead of the game day experience. (ie closing food stands to convert them to alcohol stands, closing to Green Turtle to make a Sports Book etc).

Now I also want to throw out I owned Washington Valor and DC Defender tickets and both of those while short lived have amazing gameday experiences.  Maybe because they were new and trying to get fans or maybe because they were much smaller events, but with both of those teams I enjoyed the gameday experience from the beginning of the game until the very end.

So now that the 2021 season is over, will be curious to see if any of the STHs here get price reductions in 2022. I wouldn't expect any for lower level seatholders, but was curious about whether club seat holders (like psu 2008 indicated) and upper level folks might get reductions. The email Howie posted indicated 11K seats were going to be reduced....do you think that's just club level, or will some upper seats get reduced as well?

I'm curious if they reduce the upper deck prices drop too.   I had upper deck for 11 years (sidelines, which was the most expensive and was paying $861 a seat.  When I moved to the LL this year the price went up $150 a seat to $1011.5.  That minor increase was well worth it not to have to trek to the top of the stadium.

I did not miss a game for 10 years, including the 2019 debacle, the season ending game against the eagles with their fans singing in the rain all the way back to the muddy parking lots.  I gained solice that even though we had to suffer shutouts and numerous losses at home, at least we could observe the attractive team cheerleaders during the plethora of TV commercial time-outs.  Now, we do not even have that as the current mgmt cancelled the redskin cheer squad.  So, it's in the hardcore fan best interest just to stay home.

Ha the Cheer Squad is a huge insult!    Just as bad as when the Caps got rid of the Red Rockers and make a Hype Squad.....

Washington Fan Bases are the most docile in sports, like you said none of the **** that goes on here would happen in tougher towns.  Pens fans holding victory rallies on the stairs outside of CapOne, Dallas fans holding court at fedex, none of that would happen in Philly or most any other sports town with fans who have balls

For anyone there curious if the Gold Lines are full of Cowboy fans.

  8. So I've been emailing my new season ticket rep a few complaints I have.  I'm not going to list them all here but 3 of the big ones I had.

    1.  People are able to transfer the Washington Gold Pass for each game to folks if they sell their tickets.  (Wonder why you see Dallas fans clogging up the Gold Lines?????

    2.  Redskins Rewards removed with no notice.

    3. Redzone Not working, yet touted as a STH perk this year and again for next year.

Here are her responses (which I don't agree with).   Someone let me know if my complaints are valid as a STH or I'm out of line.....

    1. I appreciate you addressing this pet peeve with us. We can’t stop a member from transferring their Gold Cards to someone who might not be a fan of the Washington Football Team.   (then I replied back and her response was) "  Personally am not in ticket operations but that is probably something that could happen. However, a lot of our members enjoy the fact that they can transfer gold cards. Members transfer them to clients who uses their tickets or even just family/friends who are going to the games that they share the tickets with.  Gold Cards can be transferred but they cannot be sold. I do understand the frustrations of seeing other team fans in the WFT gold member lounge.
    2. Redskins Rewards Program: A few of my members have also been frustrated with the program coming to an end. Due to the name change and new culture we couldn’t keep anything “redskins”. A lot of the program revolved around different experiences that one can use heir points for, which due to COVID we can’t offer to our members. We are moving forward with planning to have more experiences that are guaranteed for our members.
    3. NFL Redzone: We are aware that this has been an issue all season and have been working with the NFL on this. Unfortunately, the NFL hasn’t been able to resolve the issue for this season and we have been in continual communication with them  (part 2) Yes, we have been promoting RedZone as a benefit even though it unfortunately hasn’t been working this season. This is an unforeseen problem and something we are hopeful will be working for next year. There was no code to provide to give members access to RedZone. We will fully admit to promoting the benefit when it unfortunately was not working.

52680 tonight. Stadium, aside from the lower bowl, looked about as empty as it always does. Number is in line with previous games, but given the relative cheapness of tickets on the secondary market compared to the Tampa game, surprised that this one outdrew that one, albeit slightly. Maybe the winning streak is getting some folks excited.

We all know this area is full of fairweather Fans.   As much as people hate FedEx or Snyder if they start winning folks will come in droves.

Same here.  We didn't renew, yet, but we will.   He even called yesterday with the jersey offer.  I told him that I have a closet full of jersey's and don't want another one😉

Ours called and texted.  He was pushing hard.

The story they're telling us is that paying them in January is in-line with other teams policies.  We called him on that, at our tailgate, because it's not true.  Only 3 teams have this policy.  Us, Miami and, (I think), Denver.    I know this because @Huly is PFUFA member and knows ticket-holders from every team, so she asked them what the policy is.

I don't think that it's wrong, for the folks who want the payment plan, but for the fans that pay in full, it's a slap in the balls.   That's a pretty pricey bill to get so early in the year.

Also why they still charging a $15 handling fee if they aren't sending paper tickets anymore.

My member rep has called, texted and even visited me at my tailgate. I only have uppers so maybe she wants to get me to move to club or maybe I just have a hard working ticket rep. No complaints on that end from me.

And games like yesterday is why I am a season ticket holder. No way I go to that game if I did not already have tickets. And what a fun win aside form injuries.

I was one of the first 500 suckers to renew but I am excited to get a jersey with the new team name. Sunday she said they still had a bit to get to 500.

    Hail

So my new rep texted me yesterday and wanted to introduce herself.   She also gave my daughter a birthday gift. (Bag with some WFT items and a signed Logan Thomas Mini football).  Then my old rep came by and gave my daughter a signed Terry McLaurin Mini Football. (My daughter was super happy)  Anyways I renewed yesterday at the game.  My rep said they hadn't hit 500 renewals yet which seems surprisingly odd that didn't happen in 2 days but whatever.  I'll be getting  a jersey too.

I should follow Michael Phillips of the Richmond Times Dispatch more.  Aside from his reporting today that the Skins intend to tear up the existing club-level contracts and lower the prices of 11K tickers, he also had an article this week regarding how you can't get tickets cheap on the secondary market anymore. He listed the capacity of FedEx now as 67,617, which is different than the 82K capacity that you see on ESPN, so was curious as to where he got that figure. If you believe the attendance of the place was 91-92K at some point during the Gibbs 2 and Zorn eras, saying that they have removed 25K seats from the stadium seems high.  I do think the place probably holds more than what he says, but surely no more than 75K.

Note, should also mentioned I just checked Stubhub prices for Sunday: With fees included, UL starts at 122, LL at 177, CL at 249. I know its Brady, but these are prices I would've expected for the playoff game if fans had been allowed. This ain't a playoff game.

Probably be 80% Tampa fans.  Just like when Dallas comes to town.....

  13. Just got the official renewal email.

Funny they talk about the dedicated member rep.  Literally the first time I got an email from mine was 2 weeks ago....

Supposedly if were 1 of the first 500 to renew you got a personalized jersey for 2022.

If you renew by Dec 16th you get a duffel bag and if you renew by Jan 21st you get a lapel pin and tailgate flag...

Looks like you can now do 11 or 12 month payment plans. (Not sure why you'd do 11 vs 12).....   As far as I can tell the prices didn't go up.

Club level folks getting free parking now, new Mesh Seats a new lounge and terrace table seating

Yeah, I took my 7 year old son to the saints game and we experienced everything described:

    • The dedicated Gold stadium entrance line was way too long. The bottleneck was the entrance to the metal detector area. We should simply be able to flash our gold tickets and they should let us through instead of scrutinizing it. Also, they need to do a better job of making people aware that the line is only for STH. That added to the bottleneck.
    • The dedicated Gold concession (Chicken Kray) line before halftime was way too long because they only had 1 cashier for STH. I pulled out my phone to order via Grubhub but then saw that the estimated wait was 19 minutes and I realized that the skins never sent out the STH 50% off discount code. I texted my rep and she provided the code, passed along my complaint about the lines, and also had the skins send out a push alert to all STH with the discount code. She’s awesome, btw.
    • My son wanted popcorn and I was sure there would be some stand that sold them. Nope.
    • The stand next to my seats (firehouse subs) ran out of ALL sides (chips, candy, nachos, etc). At halftime.

I thought we were supposed to be improving?

There is a discount for grubhub at the stadium?  Never heard that before.

For the Gold Lines it seems you can forward you Gold membership when you sell your tickets this is one cause for extra long lines.  As soon as a ticket is transferred that Gold pass should be invalid.

On a side note I sent a long email to some Execs about the food issues And Gold Line issues.  No one bothered to respond.

You guys crack me up. We are complaining about stands running out of cheese now?

I don't even understand the consternation over honoring Sean Taylor. It is awesome and I don't see why I would need more advance notice. I am a fan and have season tickets and go to games though. Are there people that would have traveled to this game only because they are retiring 21?

    Looking forward to the ceremony.

Tickets for Sundays game are selling for as low as $50.   Now look at the Tampa Bay game they are $100+.   The stadium will be 90% Tampa Bay fans, just like the Saints Game last weekend.  Felt like an away game.

  16. Ok, the whole separate lines for STH for Food just don't work.  I literally waited almost 30 minutes to get Nachos and a drink today.    There was 1 guy handling the Gold members going super slow, while 4 were working they regular line which was moving quicker.

Got an update today that Redzone Mobile is still not working and apologies. And this as a follow up to my unused rewards points.

"The rewards program was primarily game day experiences and branded gear so with covid preventing us from having game day experiences like field passes, tunnel passes, and flag experience; and our rebrand still in progress, we retired the program but are working to create an enhanced game day for gold members.

For this year, our leadership team has decided to plan more Gold Membership Events where there will be opportunities to get select items and to have some fun at this exclusive member only event. We will have more information coming halfway through the football season for these new gold member events."

So much for those points I guess.

That sucks, at least they should have let us use the rest of our points.   I'm lucky I managed to win a Pro Bowl trip one year as well as ticket to a suite in a concert, but still if they just take away benefits without telling people its pretty bad.

  18. DC is very much a Fairweather Fan City.   If the team starts winning you can bet that ticket prices will sky rocket and the stadium will be packed.  Until that happens nothing will change with attendance.  Just wait till the Dallas game, will be 70% Dallas fans.
