  1. June 2nd at 2 pm.

You all may think it is silly but I actually stay at the top of the stadium. I have made my way pretty close to the 50 yard line but dont really want to spend more than I do. So moving down rows doesnt get me too much better view and being in the last row means I can stand or not as I see fit and I have convinced my little kid that the higher the seat the better. :)

I will only stick with the upper level, no desire to pay more money to sit in the lower level in the corners when I'm sitting on the 45 yard line in the upper level.

  2. I just got my upgrade email.  Been a season ticket holder since 2010.  Mine is June 1st at 4pm.  And closes June 2nd.

Just like the previous year the amount of time they give us sucks.  At least 2 years ago we had a whole week, so we could keep logging in to see if better seats became available.

  3. I ended up renewing.  Hope enough upper level folks gor rid of their seats this year so I can move down a few more rows.  I plan to stay in the upper level, but obviously would like to be as far down as possible.  Currently in Row 8 on the aisle.

Oh and I got a call from the Redskins asking me if I could sit anywhere in the stadium where would it be.  I said Row 1 of the upper level.  Their response was oh, sorry we can't help you with that....  Go figure, I think it was the beginning of a conversation to sell me club seats.

  4. Wow, I just got a call asking me if I wanted Club Seats and they were only offering a 30% savings.  End zone (which I guess is zone D) would be $2400.   That is pretty insulting they are offering people difference prices.

So I just got a new call from the Redskins asking me if I wanted to move to the Club Level again.  This time the price was now $2196 a seat.  So basically in the last 5 months they dropped the price $204. per seat.

  5. I received my first Club Level solicitation of the offseason today. Redskins are offering a "40% savings" on Club Level tickets for 2014: $1,999 for zone D, $2,999 for zone B and $3,999 for zone A -- per seat. I decided to pass since these prices are slightly more than the $30 zone A seats that were available on Stubhub on game day this year ;)

  6. Season ticket owners bear a lot of cost and hold a lot of risk.  We pay months in advance without knowing the dates of the games and if the team / weather sucks (both for KC) we are left holding the bag.  The least the team can do is quit charging for the worthless PS games.  I have a feeling the teams ST numbers are going to take a hit this year.  I would love to know how many seats are held by brokers.

This is the thing that annoys me the most, putting up all this money many months in advance.  At least with the Caps they do no interest 12 month payment plans.  Also I wish they did upgrades before you pay.  I hate they use that as a "If you pay before X Y and Z) you will have the opportunity to move.

  7. Ok, so who is on the fence about renewing for next year.   Its going to be hard to convince my wife that I should keep my tickets, especially since this year when we basically ate the cost of 2 games (one being the Giants).  If it comes down to renewing my Caps tickets or my Skins tickets, I'm going to have to say the Caps get my money.

  8. Just got a letter in the mail today about my seat upgrade, so I was able to finally see what seat #s I got, looks like I got Aisle seats, it says seats 1 and 2. Anyone know if those are closer to the 50 or the 45?

  9. Ok, well that stinks, I emailed the ticket office to find out if when they did the seat moves they took into acco**** the 3 other comparable sections (428, 401 or 454) they said no, They said next year I need to call and specifically state I'd like to be moved down but will settle for any of the 4 midfield sections rather then just saying move me lower in my current section.

  10. Just checked and my new seats are listed too. Went from 427 row 15, to 427 Row 13. Would have been nice to move down more then 2 rows, but I guess staying on the 45-50 yard line my options were limited. It doesnt list my seat #s though.

  11. I just spoke with someone at the ticket office and they said that it "Looks like you didn't get upgraded, but the process is still underway and won't be completed until the end of June. At that time you'll know if you upgraded or not." So very upfront and nice, but not all that reassuring that I would be upgraded since you'd need to upgrade the folks in the LL before upgrading folks in the UL (so they can take the vacated seats). We're hearing of a few folks from the UL getting upgraded...

Your theory about the visitor's side seems right to me (no evidence to support that). Just from folks on the board, it seems that 2nd and 3rd year folks are getting corner end zone on visitor's side instead of starting in the middle of the end zone...

    ---------- Post added June-13th-2012 at 01:41 PM ----------

I never knew that. Good to know!

I never really liked this system. I hate that we have to pay up front for a chance to be upgraded, I really would like to know before hand. This is 1 reason I didn't opt to move to the LL, when I asked the rep on the phone (because I wanted to go to the 200 section and not the 100 section, she said she cant guarantee it, but will note the account. Obviously not willing to pay an extra 1k to find out I moved from somewhere I liked to somewhere that sucks.

  12. I just got an email about upgrading to the LL, called the TO. If I'm going to move to the LL I'd only want to be in the 200 section, she said its possible but she couldn't guarantee it but she could put in the request. Obviously I don't want to move from my current seasons if its going to be in the 100 section, but I would definitely move if its in the 200 section.

What do you think my chances are?

  13. Got a flyer in the mail today offering waver of all $100 per seat activation fees. Buy 4 or more seats and get an autographed jersey from the #2 overall draft choice. They can't acknowledge RG3 just yet, but I wonder if he knows they already have work cut out for him off the field.

Conclusion: the $100 per seat activation fee now exists only to be waved; in an attempt to make the consumer think they're getting a discount of sort. Seems like this baiting tactic was reserved for later in the offseason in recent years, now it happens in March.

Wow, that actually pisses me off. 2 years ago I filled a complaint with the BBB because of the $100 per seat fee they charged. Nothing really came of it except a bad note on their BBB file and an email from their VP of sales asking me to tell them the matter was resolved (which I never did because it wasn't).

  14. Just renewed my tickets, I selected move me down in my section for no price change (currently midfield but row 15) did I select the correct option.

  15. For the 10th consecutive season, I will most likely be forking over another $2,556 to the Skins. I just dropped off my certified mail letter at the post office to notify the ticket office of my intentions (they require certified mail/fedex...UGH). Yes, I sold out and took the Skins up on the offer to move to the Club Level for the 2011 season and in 2012, I will be guaranteed lower level sideline seats. Got it in writing my new pair will be between 118-125 or 104-139 and I get to keep Orange parking.

Lower level sideline is the only way I can somewhat justify the value of the season ticket anymore. I am interested to learn of my seat assignment.

Your only paying $2500 for club seats with parking? That seems like a damn good price to me.

  16. Nothing wrong with that. You'd be surprised how much of a difference 9 rows closer to the action will make. You should also be aware that the cost of your tickets will go up. I think that the will be around $100.00 (?) for the season. The higher price is for rows 1-15, (I think)

The cost breakdown has definitely changed over the years.

I saved my ticket stub from Darrell Green's last game against Dallas in 2003. Section 410 row 23. The cost states "$44.00 (Inc Tax)"

I'm comparing it to a stub from from last season. Section 431 row 2. The cost states "$79.00 (PLUS TAX)

The ticket price went up I think $300 if I remember, I had already authorized it when they tried to sell me LL tickets in the endzone and I said I'd rather stay on the 50 in the upper and move down. Hopefully the seats will be pretty good.

  17. So I just got the following email:

    Dear XXXXXXX

Great news! We have begun our annual Auto Upgrade relocation process for our General Admission season ticket holders. You may be eligible for an upgrade to the lower level; however, quantities are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact the Redskins Ticket Office immediately at 301-276-6033.

We appreciate your prompt attention to this important matter.

    Hail to the Redskins!!!

I call wait on hold 15 minutes and it transfers me to voice mail. Call back wait another 15 minutes and it transfers me to VM again. I left a message, I doubt they will call back though.
