  1. I received my first Club Level solicitation of the offseason today. Redskins are offering a "40% savings" on Club Level tickets for 2014: $1,999 for zone D, $2,999 for zone B and $3,999 for zone A -- per seat. I decided to pass since these prices are slightly more than the $30 zone A seats that were available on Stubhub on game day this year
  2. This bothers me more than it should. But, for God's sake, please wear burgundy pants and the white jersey! We won three Super Bowls in this color scheme -- end of discussion. It just kills me when Dallas comes to FedEx and gets to wear their preferred colors. Make them wear the blue jerseys that they apparently hate.
  3. So, if the Redskins offer Club Seats for "half" price, does one get to use the "full" price of the ticket for the charitable deduction? In other words, if I buy a $500 Zone A Club seat for $250, do I claim a $500 deduction or $250 deduction when the ticket is given to a charity? On one hand, my basis is, in fact, $250. On the other hand, the Redskins are calling these $500 seats sold for half price. I know there is a tax guru out there who is just dying to address this... For the record, I don't have Club Seats -- just curious if anyone has considered this.
  4. Yes, that was the deal I was offered. I currently have home LL sideline, but was trying to add seats to my account. I didn't make the deal b/c the seating for this year (with the added seats) could have been up to 3 sections towards the end zone from my current location. The bottom line is there are some great deals to be had if folks are willing to negotiate with the Club Level ticket reps.
  5. Agreed. You can also wait until the season is underway to make this deal (giving you the benefit of not having to pay Club Level prices for preseason games). I nearly pulled the trigger on a Club Level offer for the last 4 games of the season last year -- 50% off plus a guarantee of home side 100 level sideline seats for this year. Buyers have all the leverage these days when it comes to Club Level seats.
  6. If you're just looking for a one year deal with no promise of LL seats in the future, you can do much better on Stubhub than with the Skins "40% off" deal. Here are some of the better current deals on Stubhub: Section 320, row 1 -- $1870 per ticket Section 201 -- $2250 per ticket Section 239 -- $1502 per ticket. Of course, you don't get the glory of preseason games with Stubhub season ticket packages.
  7. This has to be a Redskins ticket dump, right? Who else has an inventory of 15 Club Seats together?
  8. Why do you want to move from 239 to the 100s? I think the 200 level on the home side are the best seats in the stadium. I have a single in 142 and I spent 85% of the game standing because of the dream seat cascade.
  9. Where are your seats? I called today in response to the same email and all that was available was lower level end zone. I passed.
  10. Hello, this is the Redskins, would you like to sign a ten year contract for the bargain basement price of $5K per seat per year?
  11. I did this a few years ago and it worked out well. After I paid the $50 deposit, the offered seat location was corner end zone, top row. I decided to eat the $50 and not buy the seats. TO repeatedly called me back -- I eventually landed in section 427, row 13 (midfield) as a first year season ticket holder.
  12. Yes, tell them that you will pass on the offer since you can buy much better seats in the secondary market for $1K less a season.
  13. ...and if you build the cost of the preseason games into 8 regular season games the cost is $109.45 per ticket ($790 divided by 8 rather than 10). All depends on your perspective, I guess.
  14. ...or just call the ticket office after the preseason games and explain that you have changed your mind about your season tickets and would like to renew (dollars to donuts they have something available). Heck, the difference between buying lower level end zone seats for 10 games (roughly $2160 for 2 seats) and Zone D Clubs for 8 games (roughly $3,184 for 2 seats -- $199 per seat) is only about a $1K difference. Plus, the club seats come with orange parking.
  15. I did this last year and moved to section 142. The downside is you sit by yourself. The upside is you sit by yourself
  16. ...and you're still roughly $300 cheaper than what some people with a contract are paying for a single seat.
  17. Does danny-boy even consider a price increase for next year if they finish in the 3-13 to 6-10 range? He's been itching to jack us up for more money for a few years now (just my sense), but even he can't be so obtuse as to not foresee the mass exodus that would result from a price increase on an already weary fan-base. Thoughts?
  18. If anyone is looking for today, I just saw a pair on the NFL Ticket Exchange -- Section 101, row 1, $125 per ticket (plus fees). I would be all over these if I had the time.
  19. I just checked StubHub. There are a ton of upper deck tickets in the $17 to $18 range -- very clearly an inventory dump by the Skins. While the Skins may generate a little revenue from this move, it strikes me as very short sighted (surprise surprise). What's the thought process on renewing season tickets next March? Gee, I can spend $88 a game with the honor of buying two preseason games or I can spend $17 for the games that I want...
  20. I just received it this morning. According to the tracking information, my tickets are out on the truck for delivery today.
  21. I called last week to inquire about adding seats to my account. There were 4 available in section 110. I passed.
  22. Generally, do PSLs include any covenant from the team to play in the stadium for a minimum number of years? What happens to the PSL if the team moves to a new city or decides to build a new stadium before the normal life of the stadium runs its course?
