Pacquiao vs Bradley 2 scheduled for April 12th.
According to reports out of the Philippines, multi-division world champion Manny Pacquiao has agreed to terms for a rematch with undefeated WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley. Nick Giongco of the Manila Bulletin reports that an anonymous source has confirmed that the bout is a go for April 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Can't wait. Bradley by a legit decision this time!

I wish I knew you because I'd put some $ down on that bet. This is the fight, other than Mayweather, that I hoped Pacquiao would take. I'm definitely looking forward to this fight.

The vast majority of those ARE NOT the reason the fight wasn't made though. They're pretty much just random quotes.
Floyd's latest excuses, "Pacquiao is a desperate dog that want Mayweather to erase his problems." And "Pacquiao had his chance." Also, "Pacquiao lost 2 times recently." My favorite, "Pacquiao has to leave Top Rank and join Mayweather Promotions."
Dude you don't get it. Stop worrying about "the vast majority" and worry about the one thing they ALL have in common... Bob Arum. All 99 of those excuses were quotes directly from Arums mouth and just look how contradictory they were. How do you ignore the repeated blatant contradiction?
Floyd too contradicts himself which is why I have repeatedly said all parties involved deserve a share of the blame. But to make it seem as if it's only (or even mostly) Floyd's camp who's been doing the posturing, you're delusional!!
-
Most of those aren't even excuses, but nice try.
Really?? Not only are they ridiculous, laughable, excuses but QUOTES supported by links to the actual articles.
-
Baseless arguments? Please explain.
I'm not saying Top Rank is squeaky clean, but it was Mayweather with his ridiculous "take the test" movement that started it all.
Plus, Mayweather is considered the best fighter of this generation. It's more on him to demand a fight with the second best fighter of this generation which he clearly have not. It's been one excuse after another. Who can deny that.
Here's your "one excuse after the another" right here buddy:
-
And that ridiculous $40M offer was just for his fans, who are brainless, can tell everybody, "you see, Pacquiao is the one who doesn't want the fight, who would turn down $40M?" Do you guys really believe Pacquiao was gonna agree to a fight where he would get none of the PPV revenue?
You guys STILL buy into the, "Floyd is his own boss" crap? Take my word, dude is a Golden Boy fighter. His former buddy 50 Cent pretty much confirmed that.
LOL all I can do is laugh man. You keep making these same baseless arguments. All parties involve must share blame as to why the fight hasn't happened but everybody knows why it won't:

Not usually big on this writer but a pretty well-written argument by him from both sides of the fence:
-
Manny's know's better than this. I'm sure Arum is smacking himself right now:
-
WBC Pres Jose Sulaiman passed away. He was loved by so many but hated by just as many. This may kind of change the landscape of one of the major sanctioning bodies in the sport as there have been plenty of reports thru the years that many of his moves have not been very popular ones.
-
To answer the first sentence of that article, the reason it's flying under the radar is that there's nothing to report. Roach had said he was suspicious of ome drinks Ariza gave Pacquiao. That's not exactly a smoking gun. The same reason that no media outlets have ever followed up with the reports of Mayweather failing 3 drug test. There's no smoking gun.
Did you read the whole article bro??
When have you EVER heard conflicting stories like this coming from Floyd's camp??
-
This is a VERY good read about the whole Ariza, Roach, Pacquioa PED discussion:

I'm 100% this doesn't end here.

Video- Mayweather Sr & Ruben Guerrero almost come to blows AGAIN:
This is kinda sad but I have to admit I did laugh.
I remember a few years back when Kellerman was doing the hard sell on Linares. All the physical tools and skills don't matter much if your chin can't withstand a stiff breeze.
Yea that's true. I still think the fight will be a war for however long it lasts.
There is a nice card coming up this weekend too..
-
The rumored card for Canelo-Angulo looks pretty decent for hardcore fans:
Nihito Arakawa vs Jorge Linares
Leo Santa Cruz vs Christian Mijares
Ricardo Alvarez(Canelo's older brother) vs Omar Figueroa

And exactly where dies it say Manny was juicing? Where's the failed drug test? Where's the smoking gun? All we hear is Freddy saying that Arixa was giving Manny drinks he knew nothing about. For all we knew it could have been protein shakes.
You guys want Floyd to be proven right sooooo bad.
Not really but you kind of twisted Roach's words to work in your favor. Roach never said he didn't know Ariza was giving Manny the shakes. Roach had absolutely no clue about the ingredients/contents of the shake. To me, something just doesn't sound right about that. This is your fighter, your "prize possession" so to speak... Why not raise hell until you get some answers?!!
in a convo about doeboy Rios testing positive for PEDs, Roach says "I dont know what Ariza was giving him in that bottle. He wouldnt tell me."
Dont be silly here. It may not have been intentional, but he def just implicated Manny.
Rios wasn't on PEDs. Surprisingly enough, he was taking weight-loss supplements. No excuses tho, cause they're definitely on the banned substance list.

Team Maidana is upset that Broner killed the chance for Chino's big pay day:

But logically speaking, if he finds a way to handle Broner again, that sets him up for an even BIGGER pay day in September.

Alvarez V Angulo announced for March 8 in Vegas.
Fight of the year, right there!
Yea this will be a damn good one. Plus we'll finally get to see if Canelo was right by saying from now on all his fights will be ppv headliners; no more undercards. Hope he does decent numbers tho.
-
For the past couple years I have been telling any and everybody who would listen, Errol Spence Jr. is the next big star in boxing. He will take over. Trust me!!
Roach just indirectly implicated Manny.
Yea and I'm sure those weren't his intentions but yea it is what it is.
-
Seems Manny and Roach are on two different pages with who the next opponent should be:

If you really think about it, who does Guerrero think he is? Fight Mayweather, then fight Pacquiao?
A 30yr old mediocre boxer who realizes the door is closing on a somewhat lackluster career, caught a break on a career high pay day and realizes one more of those or anything close to it can have he and his family set for life.

Not sure what else Guerrero thinks a promoter should be doing for him.
Guerrero is ready to retire.
Guerrero already turned down the Keith Thurman fight. More attractive fights at Golden Boy than Top Rank for him, (Garcia, Maidana, Malinaggi, Matthyssee, Alexander, Porter & Khan). Unless he is trying to cash out against Manny Pacquiao, I don't see a big reason to switch promoters. One big fight vs Manny or a bunch of smaller fights against decent competition that still would pay well.
Doubt he's trying to switch. He's not the brightest crayon in the box but i can't believe he's actually THAT stupid. He's trying to become a "free agent" to make the Manny fight then retire with his second highest career pay day.
-
Lol okay I'll go with you there.. and to that I'll say thus the reason Manny will undoubtedly get the larger purse.
-
But Floyd earns more. Pacquiao, I believe, usually earns around $20M a fight, which is good. Floyd usually earns around $30M. If Pac was to give Bradley $8M, he probably won't be getting $20M.
But Bradley has all the leverage in the world right now...not so??
-
Even Robert Guerrero earned 3 or 4 mil against Floyd.
...and Cotto got 8mil

Not sure if this is good or bad for Chino because:
1) Broner will be a man-on-a-mission in the rematch
2) Sounds like Chino will be kind of "distracted"
3) An immediate rematch is advantage Chino for obvious reasons but too long of a postponement will give Broner more time to train, review film with his team, and correct mistakes
